Well, I’ve been afraid of changing ’cause I built my life around you

Sleep came quick last night, but I was up and down a lot. Instead of waking Crystal every time I wanted to know what time it was, I just looked at my phone. The first time I woke up it was 12:40, then 3:44, and then the alarm scared the shit out of me.

Alarm goes off.

I get up.

I turn the coffee pot on, do my bathroom stuff, and then turn on the TV. What’s this? No Dateline? Bombings? Oh shit, what a way to start the new year. Oh fuck my life, it’s Trump attacking a sovereign nation? Isn’t that an act of war?

Wait, wait, wait. He kidnapped the president of the country, and his wife?

This isn’t gonna be good.

I do my morning stuff, and when it’s time, I kiss The Beautiful One good bye, and minutes later, I’m at work. We cleaned for about 5 hours in preparation for the BossLady to come back to work on Monday. We now leave the rest of the cleaning list to the second shift crew tonight, and the same crew for tomorrow.

I’m tired, and my back hurts. But the shift went quickly. That’s a good thing.

Fish and chips for dinner.

House chores tomorrow. I still have half an episode of SmackDown! to watch.

And in the evening she’s a singer with the band, yeah

Podrick was Podrick last night.

The mess was cleaned up this morning.

I slept pretty well, considering, I went to bed about an hour early, due to dizziness, and the fear of passing out. So I crawled, literally into bed, and went to sleep. Well, tried to. First, too hot. Next, too cold. Finally, I found the right section of the bed, and finally fell asleep.

Yesterday, I don’t think I left the house, except to shovel the sidewalk. It’s been a heck of a long time, since the last time I said I wasn’t going to leave the house. Finally, it came true. So we took turns on the Switch, playing Red Dead Redemption. By the end of the day, we both made it into Mexico. so, it’s now a whole new video game.

Back to work for the next two days. Christmas week, and the week after has been a shit show schedule-wise. Next week, we’re back to the regular schedule again. Time to get used to 5 days a week again!

I can’t wait until it’s somewhat day light again when we wake up in the mornings. It’s pretty depressing, waking up in the dark, and coming home from work in the dark. Since the solstice has come and gone the days should be getting longer again.

And we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet, for auld lang syne

Happy 2026! I hope ya a great year to you and yours, from me and mine.

We didn’t make it to midnight. In fact, we were probably unconscious long before midnight. We tried, but Crystal, like Icarus, flew too close to the sun, and was ready for bed. To tell the truth, so was I mostly. So we packed up our shit, and climbed into bed.

We slept for the remainder of the year.

And now, sleeping in for me is until 7:30 at the latest. That’s it. By the time 7 – 7:30 comes around, Podrick is hungry, and lonely. So he continues to walk across us, until I mumble,

Wha Tim is ittt?

And then, I roll out of bed, much to the happiness of a little orange ball of energy.

Happy 2026 everyone. Maybe this is the year. You know for something really good will happen down in the states.

Can we manifest that?

A couple of pretty flowers is what I brought to you

Good morning everyone, it’s another dark morning out there. It’s almost the end of 2025. Australia is already there. Someone should do something about the international dateline. And time zones. Just think how smooth the international business community if everything was on Washington, DC time. Amirite?

Someone should tell him…

I’m off for the next two days. I would really just like to relax, and gain some spoons to be able to function like a normal human. Last night, I think I was tossy turny, as my masks came off twice in the night. I either woke up in the night, noticed that it was off, and found it, an put it on, or I fell asleep without putting it on, then woke up later, an had to find it again.

Maybe my masks need more straps?

Work wasn’t too bad, in the grand scheme of things. Neither me, nor my co-worker had any patience for people yesterday. We both want someone to win the Lottomax. Watching all these people almost desperate to win the 80 million jackpot. The customers think that they’re funny when they come in and as for the winning ticket. Or if one person buys a ticket after their friend, the friend will say, you just wasted your money, my ticket is the winning one.

But I digress.

I have to return the vacuum cleaner to my parents sometime today. That’ll be the only time I leave the house until Friday morning. I just want to exist and try and relax.

As a bonus, we’re going to try to make it to midnight tonight. I’m almost 100% sure we might make it to maybe 11:30, if we just don’t go to bed at our normal time. We’ll see. We haven’t made it to midnight in years.

Come on 2026, let’s goooooo!

And tonight we’re gonna make it all come true

Podrick was quiet this morning, choosing to walk across me a couple of times. He’s not as much this morning. I slept in an hour longer than yesterday.

Yesterday, after getting up, and cleaning up the nights mess, we didn’t do too much. I made brunch, and did the chores. I did a couple loads of laundry, and cleaned the bathroom. After brunch we prepped the bedroom. Crystal put up the command strips, and then I hung the lights. We had supervision. Now they’re up, and looking good.

I got a text from my dad saying that my package had arrived. So I preheated the truck, and got dressed. I did a little running around town, and picked up my package, and Crystal’s. We wrapped, and then we opened. I got a kick ass Waffle House hoodie, a ramen bowl, reflective toque, and a pretty kick ass hood for when it’s really cold out, and a t-shirt. Awesome presents if you ask me!

I could’ve swore in the night, a loud bang, like something loud fell. I told a sleeping Crystal, that I didn’t care what it was. And fell asleep. For the last two nights, my video has ended. Last night I looped it, and it still shut off. Weird. I’ll figure it out. I had to turn it back on at 4:22 this morning, after I had to find both masks.

Back to work today. 8 hour shift, then off for another two days. Weird scheduling during the “lost week”. But it is what it is, and we’ll kill it today. If it’s warmer out, I’ll fill some propane. I’ll ask one of the morning guys, if he could stay just for like 15 minutes so if it’s busy, we’ll have a third for a few extra minutes.

Coffee first. let’s get ready to greet the sunrise!
