Good morning everyone! It’s an overcast morning here so far, but the birds are singing, and hopefully, it’ll get sunnier, and warmer out before I take my mom to the rodeo this afternoon.

Speaking of the rodeo, I took my dad yesterday. Kind of a disappointment. We caught the tail end of the demolition derby, but were two hours early for the actual rodeo. I was hoping for a place to buy a souvenir. But there were only food shacks and a beer garden. So we left.

Hopefully it’ll be better today – watching the actual rodeo. Even if she doesn’t want to go, I’m gonna go and check it out.

But before I can play, I have to work. In about an hour, I’ll start all the chores. However before I can do that, coffee first.

Good morning party people! It’s a bright, sunny and hot hot hot morning already. All the blinds are down, and Pippin is annoyed that she can’t look out the back door. Reason – it’s closed to try and keep the heat at bay. I told her I’ll open it in a couple of hours.

We’re expecting a high in the low 90s today. Yep it’s hot for here, but again this is not an excuse to have an AC. There’s no point in them here. It’s literally hot here for like 2 weeks a year. Don’t be like my neighbour that’s one house down. Running her window AC, and I haven’t seen her car since Thursday.

So with all the heat, I’m not going to do my chores until tomorrow. I don’t feel like running the washer and dryer in this weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be about 10 degrees cooler. I’ll do it all tomorrow.

Yesterday, when I went to SlightlyBiggerTown, I was cut off due to a parade driving towards me down Main Street. I quickly turned off and came back to watch the parade. It was fun!

From there I want to a couple of stores and bought a suction cup bird feeder for the kitten, and then went for lunch, then off to do my drug deal. Ahh legal weed. Yay Canada! Then it was a quick trip to the grocery store where they didn’t have wings. That made me a little sad. After that back to the Flat to unpack everything.

All in all a good Saturday if you ask me!

Everything is bleak, it’s the middle of the night

Holy shit! Good morning. In the night there was a huge windstorm, and I assume thunder and lightning, and all that super wonderful stuff that makes it really nice to sleep in.

I was woken up in the middle of the night, with the wind trying to blow through my bedroom window. I had to close the window to get some quiet in the room. Then I peed and climbed back into bed.

When I got up, I looked at the alarm and said to myself the power must have gone out, but since my clock said 7:03, everything was back to normal. So I get up, do my bathroom stuff and feed the cat.

I never looked at the clock. On the stove, I turn on the coffee pot, and head outside to make sure the plants are ok. With the wind, it incorporated into a dream, and I was sure Mr Banana wouldn’t have any leaves left. All the plants are doing good outside.

This is where I look at the phone, it’s 8:45, and I have a couple of texts from the great Crystal. That last when I go and look at the stove clock – blinking 12:00.

Holy cow! I’m two hours behind my day! I quickly do the cat chores, and gather clothing for the laundry, which is going right now.

The birds are singing, and Pippin is going where she usually doesn’t go. I opened up one closet so she could explore, so I could get some cleaning products out of the other closet. I’m sneaky like that.

The bathroom door is closed and said cleaning products are at work in the shower and toilet, as I didn’t get to/ too lazy to do last week. So in a few, I’ll be finishing up the bathroom. And with her explorations, I’ll be reorganizing the hall closet and it’s just a “throw in and forget” closet.

Then, laundry can start.

Good times!

But for the next couple of minutes, I’ll finish up my coffee, and then I’ll start on the chores, before heading up to Shady Acres later this afternoon.

Good morning everyone! Pippin let me sleep until my alarm went off this morning! Let me tell you that it was glorious. Of course the one time I was banking on her waking me up early didn’t pan out to chat with Crystal this morning. That’s ok.

Chore day here. I tried to run toaster yesterday while I was at work. I checked on it through the app, and 30 minutes it there was a wheel issue. I cleared it up and so it would annoy Pippin even more, because it had stopped, and I didn’t want it to stress her out anymore than necessary, I sent it to the base. After about 5 minutes, when it should’ve been charging, it was still trying to get back to the base, I just shut it down where it stood.

When I got back to The Flat, it was stuck under a chair. Toaster isn’t that smart, but he’s cute. So I’ll let him try again today.

Chore day, but for now, it’s coffee and cuddle time. Happy Sunday friends.
