Good morning everyone. I trust everyone had a good evening? My sleep was ok. I am, however getting really tired of my allergies. I would like to cut my nose off.

It’s the middle of the week, we’re slowly making our way to the weekend. I’m working this Saturday, so there’s that. I’m waiting for a couple people to get back to me at work. As soon as I ask for half down they stop replying. Maybe today’s the day that they’ll reply!

Ok coffee is ready, let’s get this day started!

When you breathe, I wanna be the air for you

Top ‘o the morning. It’s Tuesday, it’s sunny, and the birds that haven’t flown south yet are singing. I was really tossy turny in the night. First I was too cold, then too hot, and then too stuffed up. I was up four or five time, just to see what time it was.

But I think I feel rested. Still, I’ll appreciate the coffee when it’s done brewing.

The weekend was good. By about 3ish yesterday, I think I was ready to go back to work. Now, when I have to go to work, I kinda wish I had another day off.

So it goes.

Anyways happy Tuesday! Let’s punch today in the taint.

I wanna make you move because you’re standin’ still

Awake, and totally stuffed up! The seasons are changing, the only constant is my allergies. It about an hour or so, I should be completely drained for a while, and the snot will stop flowing.

In interesting things my mother is pawning off on me – I present the hotdog and bun toaster. I thought she was joking, but as I take a beautiful and classy picture of it at 7 in the morning, I realize that I have a hotdog and bun toaster.

Anyways, it’s labour day. I’m celebrating by not having to go to work. I’m sure I’ll find something to do today.

But first, some go-go juice.

Happy labour day – the day of labour!

Everything is bleak, it’s the middle of the night

Good morning my friends. I trust y’all had a good sleep. Mine was pretty good up once in the night, and up once or twice, just to see what time it was.

It’s chore day! I’ll be starting with laundry in about an hour or so.

Other than that, I don’t have a lot of plans today. Chores, big breakfast, and then heading over to Shady Acres, for dinner.

Mmm coffee.

Ok, let’s get this day started!

Looking back – a year ago

So Crystal installed a way back machine on the site when I hit 365 days of posts, and yesterday I saw a book post from last year asking what 3 books that I would bring if I was marooned on a deserted island.

Last year, I said I’d bring:

Twilight. Because, it’s Twilight, possibly one of the greatest vampire love stories of the 20th century. ‘Nuff said.

House of Leaves. Because, it’s a totally immersive book that you can almost take a bite of. It pulls you in all the way.

Ship of Theseus. Again, another immersive book. Looking back, I’d probably lose all the extras that are stuffed in the book.

I saw the post, and was inspired to update the list. There’s only one that has stayed the same. Can you guess which one? I bet you dollars to donuts, that you cannot guess which book will be the same as last year.

The first book is one that I haven’t read yet, as I’m waiting for October to read a horror book. The first book that I would bring to a deserted island would be The Troop by Nick Cutter.

The second book I would bring is the last book that I finished – Bats of the Republic by Zachary Thomas Dodson. It was a great book that pulls you in from the first page. I’m sure there’s so much more to learn about the world that Dodson created.

The last book is ….

Wait for it ….

Are you shivering in antici…..

…. pation?

The last book is House of Leaves. If you haven’t read it yet, then all that you have read couldn’t have possibly prepared you for HoF.

Until next time book nerds!
