Let the stormy clouds chase everyone from the place come on with the rain

Good morning all. The talks of waking up to a pile of snow is totes false. We’re currently seeing freezing rain. My weather app is a little wrong today. It’s currently saying 10.3cm of snow has fallen. False. Just freezing rain.

We slept in a little today. 7:35 was when my eyes opened. I’m sure that Crystal was up for much longer than that. It gives her time to scheme. Somehow all the blankets ended up on my side this morning. I don’t know how she does it. She also sleeps as far as she can away for me. Maybe I put out too much heat and she’s too warm. That explains how I have all the blankets. She sneaks out of bed, and pulls them all to my side. I’ll try and figure this out and report back as to how she’s doing this witchcraft.

Coffee has been brewed. I don’t know what the plan is for today. I think while I watch Critical Role this afternoon, Crystal will be exploring an underwater world on the Switch. The last time she was here I think we watched the first 4 or 5 episodes, I think todays episode is #38. And since they’re so long, it’s really hard to catch up for her.

Today is also bacon day. Well, more formally known as BRUNCH DAY. Yum!

Jack he sits back, collects his thoughts for a moment – scratches his head, and does his best James Dean

Awake! I think probably minutes, my brain went you should’ve shut off the alarm. Then it went off. Assuming that Crystal had a terrible sleep, I told her to stay in bed. Then I closed the door so she can hopefully sleep a little more.

We’re under a freezing rain advisory. It doesn’t seem that bad out there. Just it’s a gray day. It’s chore day, which I’ll start when Crystal is up and out of bed. I can do the more quiet chores.

Yesterday day after work, we popped over to another SlightlyBiggerTown, to hit up the second hand store, in hope of making Crystal a carnie costume. I think we found some stuff that’ll help with it. We also grabbed a pizza for dinner. Which, by the way was pretty good when we got home and baked it.

After dinner we watched Thor: Love and Thunder. I commented part way through it, that they made Thor a lot dumber from his first movie. Crystal replied that they made Natalie Portman’s character dumber too. She called it the Kelly Bundy syndrome.

It was a totally forgettable movie. The only stand out characters were the screaming goats. According to the trivia on the movie, it was the 29th movie in the MCU. They used to be superhero movies, but have just turned into buddy comedies.

It’s gotten cold out for the last week or two. That means the bugs are moving inside to stay warm. We’ve killed a few maple bugs between us, and Pippin stalks them.

It’s chore day, and this afternoon, we’ll head over to Shady Acres. Mom is very excited to be cooking Iggy’s clam chowdah for dinner. Woot!

Will it ever stop? Yo, I don’t know

It’s a gray morning out there today. Good morning, happy Saturday! All that stands before me and the weekend, it’s just a short shifty shift today. Should be easy. Hopefully, it’ll go nice and quickly.

If I’m doing my math correctly, this is my 800th post in a row. Eight. Hundred. That’s a lot of you ask me. I don’t think I’ve ever done some for 800 days. In. A. Row. That’s pretty impressive to me. Here’s to another 800 posts!

Coffee has been brewed, and is being consumed. I think I slept pretty ok. I fell asleep pretty quickly, but I feel like I was tossy turny. And I’m pretty stuffed up.

Dateline is on the TV this morning. Curtesy of NBC News Now on YouTube. It’s nice on Saturdays, it’s a marathon of Dateline.

We went out to one of the local restaurants for dinner last night. It’s a nice change, and they make some kick ass burgers. So good burgers, and along with that, they give you a butt load of fries as well. We had some really yummy burgers, and came back to the Flat.

But I’m happy it’s the weekend. Bring it on!!

Well you’re the real tough cookie with a long history

Good morning everyone who stumbles upon my rantings. It’s a grayish day, but let me tell you the sunrise was epic on this Friyay morning. You know what they say. It looked like the sky was on fire. Lots of red in the sky this morning.

I don’t recall kitty shenanigans in the night, but I don’t think we had any cats sleeping on the bed. I think they’re still trying to figure out their own night time routines. I’m sure eventually, they’ll both come to bed, and snuggle in for the night.

Coffee is brewing, and we’re slowly waking up here. The cats have been fed, and I think Pippin is trying to get Chaucer to play. She tries so hard to play with him, but she’s so much faster than he is.

She’ll run up to him, and then dart away before he can turn around and see what she’s doing. It’s actually cute to see. She’s just so much fast than he is. You remember the squirrel in the movie Over the Hedge? That’s Pippin.

Ok, must consume some coffee. Again, happy Friyay!

Singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long

Good morning! It’s a gray and overcast day out there. But it’s warm, so yesterday Crystal put a chair so Pippin could look out the back door. It’s still warmish so I put her table back. I believe she’s currently sitting watching the sun rise.

Yesterday was my first day back to work after my holiday. I was by myself for most of the day, our accountant scared the crap out of me. I planned this so I wouldn’t have to deal with anyone, and kinda just get things done.

It was a busy morning. I figured that my desk would be covered in a “stream of consciousness” if post-it notes and scraps of paper. I was close. It was neatly stacked on my desk. So I. Started at the top and just worked through it. I think I got most of the notes either looked at, or totally taken care of. BossLady was flying yesterday, and couldn’t be reached. Today, I’m sure she’ll be calling a couple of times.

It’s all good.

I’m not going to think about it right now, now is the time for coffee. And the coffee is good.

Oh happy days!
