Happy Thanksgiving! It’s a massively dark start to turkey day here, and if I’m honest, cold. The coffee tastes good this morning. I’d probably have to say, it’s a damn fine cup of coffee.

When we went out on Tuesday, we looked for a turkey breast and some stove-top. We stopped when we couldn’t find the turkey. So we gave up. When we go out tomorrow, we’ll do a more through search tomorrow at the better grocery store.

Yesterday was a total sloth day, and I may not be a mind reader, but I think today might be more of the same. I asked if I could watch The Mighty Nein live reunion, and Crystal said yes, so after the morning routine is done, I’ll probably put it on. Woot!

So yeah, nothing much planned here. It’s really nice. Next week will be hectic, so this recharging week is fabulous. I feel pretty good, honestly, just freakin tired. I’m always tired.

Yep, as you can see, that’s what was stuck in my head this morning, as I snoozed, trying so hard to get comfortable. I again, was very tossy turny this morning. It took a while, but I finally got a little comfortable – where I could breathe, and temperature wise, found the sweet spot.

Yesterday was a really nice day. We slowly got ready in the morning. Coffee, etc and then we were off! We drove to SlightyBiggerTown to visit the second hand store. It’s a cozy little building, while I didn’t find anything of note – other than some highly overpriced (in my mind) Tupperware, and some vintage PYREX. Crystal did find some little pretties. I’ll let her tell y’all about them over on her site.

Other than that, we stopped after for lunch, then drove home and simply relaxed. I played a little bit of the new game – Divinity 2: Original Sin. I like it. The camera angle is the only thing I’m not fond of. You can zoom in a little, but you can’t change the angle.

I got into some fights. I won them all, and I only have to use a scroll of resurrection once, so I think that’s pretty good. I might play it a little more later on today.

I don’t think we have anything planned for today, which is just fine with me. Maybe we’ll play some video games, maybe we’ll watch a movie or two. I don’t know yet. This is a bonus week, so I’ll take it!

Life is like a hurricane here in Duckburg

Well, it’s Tuesday.

And it’s dark out.

But here we are. We’re all awake here. Chaucer is wondering around. I’m hoping herms not just wandering around, looking for a comfy place to get sick. We’ll see.

I pretty much crashed last night. As my head hit the pillow, I think I was already asleep. I think I slept all the way through the night until around 6ish. I kinda woke up, and got a little more comfortable, and I went back to sleep. I think it was a good sleep. The jury’s out on that still.

I think we might have a plan for part of the afternoon. I’ll double check the hours, but we might hit a second hand store in SlightlyBiggerTown. Maybe we’ll even stop at the local grocery store to pick up a turkey breast and all the fixings for a small Thanksgiving dinner here.

But the second hand store will be the priority.

Chaucer has crawled up on my lap. It’s where he likes to be in the mornings, until I start getting up and down. But for now, he’s a happy camper.

So let’s get this Tuesday started! Woohoo!! Tuesday!

When I settle down got to get me a trailer park

Nothing too much to type about today. We didn’t do too much of anything yesterday. Well nothing of note. We did the laundry, and the Sunday chores yesterday. Then after all the chores were done, I was flipping though YouTube, looking for something to watch.

I found Dogma. We haven’t watched that in years. And it was the full movie. It was great jumping into it again. The writing in it is so tight. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the dialogue. I think Dogma is Kevin Smiths best work.

Anyways, after that, we turned on a new game that Crystal downloaded the night before. I think it’s called, Divinity 2 Original Sin. It’s really a neat game. I find myself liking it.

I don’t think we have anything planned for today, except for brunch. I’ll get that going in a few hours. So, for us, it’s just a lazy Monday.

If you’re a man at all oh, I will figure this one out on my own

It’s dark. It was dark when we went to bed, and it’s dark when we wake up. Winter is coming. This is just the herald of winter. First they take away our warmth, then they take our light. They’ve already taken the ground. Winter is coming.

Yesterday was whirl wind. We got up at the normal time, and while I drank my go-go juice, Crystal put on her makeup. Then, after the truck warmed up a little, we were off to MostlyBiggerTown to do some shopping. We got into town around 11, and jumped right into the local Walmart. You never really forget the sounds of Walmart. They’re universal. Screaming child, just the regular din of low level noise. Check.

We started in aisle 1 in the food department, and pretty quickly went through them all, filling the cart with food. We had to backtrack once or twice, then we moved on the clothing. We split up, and I went to men’s wear, because I’m a man. I looked around and threw some socks in the cart. I walked back and looked for Crystal. My first pass didn’t reveal her, so I wandered back into men’s wear to see if there were any racks with clearance. I did find a warm jacket that I liked. It was just a little expensive. But it was on sale for 30% off. I stuffed it into the shopping cart and went off to find Crystal.

We reunited and I showed her. She agreed with me that I needed a warm jacked and said it was a good deal. There were only a couple of more items that we needed, so we went off in search of them. After we found them, and paid for everything, we drove across the plaza, and stopped at the dispensary, and then went off to McDonald’s for lunch on the road. We made good time coming back.

When we got back, I helped put stuff away, then went to fuel up the truck, and drop it off at my parents place. I walked back to the flat. It was a gorgeous afternoon. When I arrived, we went back out to the Hot Mess, and drove to Town Hall and experienced the towns winter craft fair. Mostly MLM tables and canned goods. We spent the most time over at the libraries tables, looking at the books. Nothing of substance jumped out at us, so we went home.

After dinner, we both struggled to stay awake, so after the movie (Pitch Perfect), we watched some TikTok and went to bed a little early.

I woke up around 4 I think, and successfully navigated from the bed to the bathroom, and back again with my eyes completely closed. I climbed back into bed, and snuggled into Crystal.

And now here we are! Sunday Sunday SUNDAY. Chore day. We’ll start that a little later. But for right now, coffee and dateline. What a nice way to wake up.
