Revvin’ up your engine listen to her howlin’ roar

*yawn* Good morning everyone. It’s back to work today, so of course I was mostly awake about an hour before the alarm went off. Pippin was curled up between and on my legs this morning. I thought it was Chaucer, because of the weight. But it was the tiny one, who feels heavier when she’s curled up.

Coffee has been brewed. And the kittens have been fed. It’s dark, and the wind is still blowing, but I think we may have only gotten about maybe an half inch to an inch of the white stuff over night. Probably a little less than that. Not a lot of freezing rain. Which is a good thing for sure.

We didn’t do too much of anything yesterday. I watched Top Gun: Maverick, and popped out to the grocery store for some bread and a frozen pizza. Crystal, primed the minis that came with the game she got me for Christmas. I can’t wait to see how they turn out!

But for right now, I’m gonna just drink some coffee, and try my hardest to focus my eyes. Happy Wednesday my friends.

And the music was soothing, and they all started grooving

Good morning everyone! The last day off before heading back to work tomorrow. Whatever shall we do? I’m pretty sure it’s going to involve a whole bunch of nothing. If I have my way. It’s so very nice not to have anything on the radar. Not having to do anything or be anywhere.

It’s above freezing today. I know, right? I went out this morning and it felt strangely warm out. Even looking at the snow piles, it looked like the piles had compacted. I guess they did – it’s above freezing, duh.

The coffee has been brewed and we’re watching the morning news. While it’s warm, it’s still dark out there. The days are slowly getting longer. Eventually, it’ll start to get warmer – but not today. It’s just supposed to be warm today and tomorrow, I think. Then it cools off again.

With a note saying “I love you”, I meant it

Good morning my friends. I hope and trust that everyone had a very good Christmas. I also hope that you all got everything that you had on your wishlist. Me, I did very very well. Everything I got, I needed and even a few gifts that I wanted. It was a very good day.

We were up when the alarm went off. There’s no real point to shutting it off, and trying to sleep in. We’re slowly figuring out the Crystal is having trouble staying asleep because she’s too warm. I might have to take off a blanket to see if that helps her be able to sleep past 4ish am.

Today? I don’t plan on doing a whole bunch of anything. Maybe a nap this afternoon. Crystal bought me a board game, and either today or tomorrow, I want to play it. It’s called God Tear. It looks really fun, and a lot easier to set up that our other board game – Gloomhaven. And when you have a very curious kitten, that’s a good thing.

The only thing I really have to do is clean off the kitchen table. If it’s a flat surface, stuff just gets piled on it. So it’s a catch-all for everything. So later I’ll clean that off. So really other than that, there’s no chores to do, I did those on Saturday.

But for now, we’re just sipping on some coffee, and I have Pippin on my lap, and Chaucer on his cube. Happy kittens.

Happy Boxing Day everyone 🙂

Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright – the sun to shine by day and all the stars at night

Merry Christmas everyone!

Awake! The coffee has been brewed, and the snow is falling outside. It’s the perfect white Christmas out there.

All the presents have been opened, and I have to say I love all mine! Let’s just say, I know what I’m going to be wearing. And I’m gonna be nice and toasty today.

This afternoon, we’re going to be meeting my parents at the old folks home to visit with gramma for a little bit, then we’ll be heading back to Shady Acres for the afternoon, to exchange gifts, and to have Christmas dinner.

I also suspect that there will be a showing of National Lampoons: Christmas Vacation. I’d maybe also like to play Top Gun: Maverick as well. But we’ll see about the second movie.

But for now, I did all the chores yesterday, so the morning and early afternoon is for us.

Again, merry Christmas! Thanks for hanging out with me for another year. If I sold shares for this website, thanks to all y’all, I’d be the majority shareholder. You guys are the best!

Beneath the mistletoe as we drink egg nog

It’s a nice relaxing day here. The laundry is laundering, and brunch has happened. The dishes are finished as well.

I think we’ll just be hanging out on the couch. I just put on quite possibly the greatest Christmas movie in recent memory –

Die Hard.

I tried to find Miracle of 34th Street – the original from the 40s. Sadly, I couldn’t find it without having to pay for it. That’s ok.
