Think I’ll slip on down to the oasis

Good morning everyone! I believe the weather here is going to be a shit show. We’ve already hit our high for the day, and according to my weather app, the snow should be starting around 6 tonight. I’ll believe it when it starts to snow, though.

I slept pretty ok last night. Tossy turny, but that’s because I’m on a day bed, and I think I follow the blankets that were sliding off the bed. It was ok. I think I feel rested. We’ll see.

Not too much on tap today. My mom and gramma are heading to SlightlyBiggerTown to have some service done on my dads truck. I’ll probably head over to the flat and read for a while.

I have some coffee, and now I’ll start the wake up process. I hope that today will be a great day for everyone. Happy Monday y’all.

Book club – Update.

Ok, I know I’ve stopped reading, but I have a really good excuse. Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been moving. I’ll be 100% moved in on Thursday the first of April.

So that means, I’ll be able to start up the Lockup Library Book Club right where we left off. In fact, I kinda jumped in right where I left off the day before yesterday.

It’s been a while, so I’m still getting up to speed from where I left off. Have y’all still been reading? I feel guilty for not reading. However, one of the first loads I took were all my books. But a couple of days ago, before work, and with a cup of coffee, I dived back in.

It’s gonna be nice to just sit down in the mornings, and read for a little bit.

So bear with me book nerds! I will return!!

So hip to be square

Guten Morgen. It’s Sunday. My last Sunday waking up at Shady Acres. I’m still kinda really excited.

It’ll be a busy week for sure. Finish moving in on Thursday. The internet guy will be there sometime on Thursday as well. Maybe, it time permits, I’ll head over to the thrift store in the afternoon. Saturday, I plan on going into BiggerTown to do my shopping, and to find my gramma a birthday card, as it’ll be her birthday on Sunday.

But today is today, and let’s get through this one day at a time! Today I only have one chore to do – clean the stove.

Right now, it’s coffee and FBI time on a channel called Showcase. Happy Sunday y’all.

You see that table? I built that. All by myself. I’ve never built a kitchen table before. I’m proud of myself. Anyways, happy Saturday all. It’s a work day for me, and after this week, I hope it’s a quiet day that go quickly.

I had forgotten my water bottle in the kitchen last night. By the time I got back in from my nightly woot toot, I was standing in my room naked and not prepared to get dressed to go and find it. I just put a cough drop in my mouth and went to bed. When I got up, I still had a small piece of the cough drop. My mouth had been very dry all night.

But I’m awake now, and have a nice cup of coffee. I think I’m ready to greet the day. The sun is up and hardly a cloud in the sky. There is a skiff of snow on the ground, but I’m sure that’ll melt before too long.

5 days to go, before I move into The Flat. I’m excited and nervous. Right now, it’s like my fortress of solitude. It’s nice here. Quiet. Quiet is good. My dad figured out his username and password for SiriusXM, so I have that. I’ll be able to get news and music. News is awesome. I’ll have to look if there’s Canadian news on it. There’s some Canadian news, if I can’t find one I like, the go to that I listen to on drives is CNN.

It’s been crazy at work. The plan was to move a whole bunch of furniture around the sales floor, move clearance to our warehouse, bring in a shit tonne of new stuff. That plan was for Saturday after work, Sunday, and Monday. They started Tuesday. Lol. So from Tuesday to yesterday, BossLady and I moved lots of stuff back and forth between the store and the warehouse, and I built. Then the last three days they stayed late to “fluff”. I’m sure it looks amazing in there. I bet I’ll be busy pricing stuff.

Anyways, I’ve rambled long enough. Time to consume coffee, and wake up. Enjoy your Saturday! Auf Wiedersehen!

Well the years start coming and they don’t stop coming

Good morning, me hearties! It’s Friyay! We freakin made it! It’s a grey day here in TinyTown. This morning my dad left for work early today so I got dressed and grabbed my lunch, leaving a note for my mom, and headed over to The Flat. Coffee is brewing, and I’m about to listen to some NPR.

The beautiful one, Crystal, found a kick ass shower curtain, and a tapestry for me. They arrived yesterday, and at lunch I hung up the shower curtain. And spread out the tapestry on my bed.

Wow. I love them both!

I work tomorrow, but it’s a quick shift. I’m not looking forward to it, but hey, I only work 2 Saturday’s a month. So it’s not that bad.

Today is a good day, to have a good day. Happy Friyay!!!!
