Book haul – The Institute

Hey book nerds!

Just wanted to share a quick haul from a couple of weeks ago, when I was in BiggerCity. I was a little disappointed at the selection at the only place that sells books in that town; Walmart.

But trying to be a glass is half full type of person, least I got one book, amirite?

I channeled crystals, and bought it because, Stephen King. So it’s on my bookcase, and waiting to be read.

And, I can’t wait to read it. Until next time book nerds!

There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti

Friyay, Friyay, gotta get down on Friyay! We made it everyone. It’s almost the weekend. It’s so close I can almost taste it.

Speaking of taste, my coffee is almost finished brewing, so I can now start to wake up. And I’ll need to wake up, as some time today, I have to help load the trailer with BossLady and NewGirl.

The inventory program is almost complete. I showed BossLady yesterday and she loves it. She wants me to link it to the site as soon as possible so she can show it off to her design friends.

All I did was the data entry, Crystal came up with the idea, basically installed, and spent a couple of hours yesterday, to make it look pretty. I also made instructions on how to make a blog post, but for furniture. I’m very proud of it. It looks amazing, and I got to work with Crystal on it. That was the best.

That’s all I got got now, I just got a cup of copy, and I’m trying to figure out why my ankle hurts.

Happy Friyay everyone! And a very very happy birthday to my beautiful wife, Crystal. I loves you very much ❤️

When I watch you, want to do you, right where you’re standing yeah

Good morning. It’s Thursday. One more day after today. One more day, and then I can sleep in an extra half an hour. I know, and extra half and hour! I haven’t slept past 7:30 since I got here.

Friday Eve. It’s almost Friyay. I can’t wait.

I’m sure everyone will be back in the office today. I’ve really liked the last two days by myself. I can watch Tabletop Tactics all day as I input stuff into the new inventory system.

Now, I’ll have to, ugh, talk to people again!

But, I have coffee. Crystal is having trouble texting me, so we’re emailing. Hopefully it’ll get fixed soon. I love you lots ❤️

Lockup Library – some of the books I read last year – part 1

Ahh, part one of a three part mini series. Hello book nerds! Welcome back, pull up a chair and settle in. Part one is the biggest of the three parts.

The first pile

It’s a big one isn’t it? In the grand scheme, it’s not a lot, but it’s a start, isn’t it? This is also the only pile of books, that there are one or two books that I won’t reread. I always try and be diplomatic and positive in my book clubs, and reviews, but two of these books won’t be reread. I’m holding on to one of those for Crystal to read when she gets here.

That book? The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.

The other book that doesn’t get a reread from me is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.

I didn’t enjoy either of these books. And it was a slog to get through them. I shouldn’t have to put that much energy into doing something that I love. Thankfully I only put pocket change into buying them.

The only other one that was meh, was The Escape Artist by Brad Meltzer. It wasn’t great, it wasn’t terrible. But it was like he tried to remake The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in America, and he paired her with a mortician. Odd couple? For sure.

And, if you’ve been following this blog for a while, this pile has my favourite book in it. Go a head, hope you guess my name!

Catch ya later, book nerds!

The only thing that looks good on me is you

Good morning everyone, you know what day it is. you don’t know? Come on, take a guess.

That’s right! Woohoo half way through the week!

I wonder if anyone we’ll actually make it in to work today. I was alone yesterday, and I liked that just fine. I’d take another day like that.

I got the bulk of LiveInventory 2.0 done. The end is in sight. I’ve very excited about it, and can’t wait to show it off.

But now, my friends, it’s coffee time. I love you very much. Enjoy your Wednesday!
