Good morning y’all. It’s a cooler day here, and the excessive heat warning has been cancelled. That’s a nice thing for sure!

It’s chore day here, and I’m starting it a little early today. I want to go to a flea market at least I think it’s a flea market type thing. With live music. That starts at 10, so I want to have at least 1 load of laundry done before I go to that. I’m kind of excited to go. It’s something different to check out.

Last night I had the yummiest of dinners. I’d been craving chicken wings, and splurged for a bag of them. In the bag they were separated into two bags, so I have another meal for later in the week. They were so good.

Happy 4th to everyone that celebrates that. I have my special 4th of July shirt I’ll be wearing out today, and a couple of Sam Adams beers here to toast tonight.

‘‘Twas the night before Independence Day, and all through the town, not a creature was stirring… well not really this is a farming community, most people have probably been up since the sun rose this morning, because it’s Canada, and our holiday has already passed. Tomorrow is simply Sunday here.

We’re actually in the middle of the Canada day long weekend here, and I’m up and dressed and slowly getting ready for work. Coffee is brewing and the alarm didn’t surprise me this morning, although I wasn’t expecting it to go off so I’m a little groggy.

It’s gonna be another hot day here, it’s coolish right now, but it’s supposed to be about 5 degrees hotter than yesterday. The heat that was in BC the last week has now stretched from there over us to Ontario. They’re saying it should be over by Monday.

Ok the coffee is ready, time to go. It’s a good day, to have a good day.

Had an old gold Chevy, and a place of my own

It’s gonna be a hot one today, I think. The last week or so it’s been anywhere from 14-16c out when I wake up, today – 22c. And now where to go but up.

But I get my freedom flops today! That’s right, the last package I’ve been waiting for will be here after lunch! Woohoo!

2 more shifts and I’ll be enjoying my weekend. Happy Friyay, everyone. The coffee is brewing, and I think I’m going to go and get me a cup.

Time to start the day. Let’s do this!

Happy Canada Day! Bonne fête du Canada!

Awake! I actually rolled over and looked at the clock – 6:44. I thought to myself “sweet, I still have 15 minutes”. I rolled back over, and went back to sleep. It felt like in those 15 minutes, I had slept all night. 2 sleeps, 1 night.

It’s a day off here. A day of celebration, and a day of mourning here. Usually Canada Day is a day of parties and fireworks, and beers. I’m sure that’s how it’ll be for some, but for a lot of people it’ll also be a day of mourning. Over 900 bodies have been found in unmarked graves next to old residential schools.

I’ll be thoughtful of the past, but me, myself, I’m looking forward to the future. The future where Crystal is here with me.

Ok, coffee is ready, and I’m gonna consume some. Happy Thursday everyone 🙂

It felt like the alarm had been going off for a while when I finally woke up. It was a deep sleep. It’s gonna be a hot one here today.

Coffee is brewing, and all I have to do is make it through today, and I can relax a little tomorrow, as tomorrow is Canada day!

I don’t have a lot to chat about this morning. I’m surprised that I can even type something everyday! I’m still waiting for one package from Crystal. I should get it Friday. We were both hoping that I’d get it before the holiday. That’s ok, I love getting stuff in the mail that aren’t bills.

Speaking of bills, I’m gonna go so I can transfer my rent. Happy Wednesday.
