Well, I just got into town about an hour ago took a look around, see which way the wind blow

It’s the weekend! Woohoo! We made it! Welcome to Saturday. I have absolutely no plans for the day. I’ve finished season 4 of Outlander, and will be saving season 5 for when Crystal gets here – to watch together.

I mean I’ll probably finish the last 20 minutes of Red Notice. It’s ok, but it seems to me that the actors are doing this movie because they have to not because they want to. Everything just feels forced.

The coffee is brewing, and according to Google, it’s -13c. Hopefully, it’ll get warmer out, but there’s nothing I need to leave the flat for.

Let’s start the day with a good cup of coffee. Happy Saturday!

He said, “Son, when you grow up would you be the savior of the broken the beaten and the damned?”

About a week or so back , I said to myself I about 2 weeks or so, it’s gonna snow, and it’s gonna stick. I hate being right. It’s changed from fall to winter, in 2 days. This snow isn’t going anywhere.

Good morning everyone. Happy Friyay! It’s the end of the work week. I just have to survive one 8 hour shift with she beast, aka – NewGirl. Her last day is Tuesday. And this is like removing a bandaid as slowly as possible.

Anyways it’s Friday, and I have coffee beside me, so I’m going to go and drink it, and try to wake up. Let’s work for the weekend!

In Flanders fields, the poppies blow

I’m very disappointed in TinyTown today. I got to the cenotaph at 11 am, and promptly shovelled it out. there were some snow drifts around it, and I wanted it to look good when the ceremony started momentarily.

At the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day, I stood by myself in the cold and wind on an empty street.

Empty.

From what I could see the Royal Canadian Legions parking lot was packed. I didn’t bother going over, because I’m not a member.

I could be a member, my grandfather was a veteran of the Second World War.

In the snow, while I shovelled, I didn’t see any fresh foot prints or anything to show that they actually even did the ceremony.

So I did my own thing. Marched up, saluted, and laid my poppy on the cenotaph for my grandfather. Stood up, marched away, and simply walked back to the flat.

According to last weeks town newsletter, the time frame for the ceremony was at 10:50. That means they started early, finished early and were inside the legion drinking when THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HONOURING THE FALLEN.

I’m very disappointed in TinyTown today.

In Flanders fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place, and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below

We are the dead, short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields In Flanders fields
And now we lie In Flanders fields

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch, be yours to hold it high
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields In Flanders fields
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields

I really can’t stay baby it’s cold outside

*yawn*

Morning everyone. I worked late at work for an after hours event. It went very well. I feel like a zombie. I’m not used to working late like this. I think I left around 9:50. Chatted with Crystal for a little bit, then went to bed.

I was out like a light, until the dammed alarm went off.

Now I’m patiently waiting for the elixir of life to finish brewing.

There might be a nap in my future.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful

Yep, it’s snowing outside. We’ll see if it sticks. This time last year, there was ready snow on the ground. So, it’s late this year. We’ve been lucky, and for the most part we’ve had nice weather.

Winter is coming.

Coffee is brewing. I think I had a good sleep. Up once. Then at 6am I looked at the clock, happy that I still had an hour to sleep.

In what felt like .0023seconds, the alarm went off, and here I am!

Happy hump day! Almost to the end of the week!
