Birds and snakes, an aeroplane, Lenny Bruce is not afraid

THE POWER CAME BACK!

Yep, I was over at Shady Acres, we had just been told that the town was going to shut the water off so I was filling buckets so we’d be able to flush the toilets.

Thankfully that didn’t happen, because the power came back on around 4:30. The heat came back on, and I went about the house grabbing electronics and plugged them all in.

So when I got back to The Flat, I turned everything back on, and reset the alarm clock, and the stove clock.

So since we “lost” a day because of no power, today will be chore day, with the typical included brunch!

But first, coffee!

Of easy wind and downy flake

Hey, y’all. Greetings and salutations from South of the Wall. Shawshank is currently dealing with effects of the snowstorm that spent the last week raging across Sadscratchythong. At the moment, TinyTown is without power, and he’s trying to avoid touching his phone. His regular Sunday brunch of bacon and eggs was replaced with cereal and milk.

On the plus side, the power outage turned off his alarm clock and he slept in.

He’s been outside and shoveled a path to the road. However, nothing has been plowed aside from the main road through town. With the power out, he’s keeping keeping things lively with a good book in front of the window.

When we finally kiss goodnight how I’ll hate going out in the storm

I roll over in bed – wide wide WIDE awake. It’s like my body just decided that now would be a good time to wake up. It’s 6:30.

Last night I tried to remind myself to look at the snowfall totals before looking outside. So as my eyes were focussing, I opened my phone, and opened the weather app. I looked. Blinked. I willed myself to focus on the small number. Then it was off to Google to Google a measurement that I haven’t come across this snowy season.

So yeah, nothing has fallen yet. It was supposed to start yesterday afternoon. It just kept getting pushed back. So either we’re going to get dumped on, or nothing. I just don’t know anymore!

So coffee has been made, and I have the local news on, to see what they have to say. Either way, I have no plans to do anything, so let it snow!!

Or not. It’s all good 🙂

When people run in circles it’s a very, very mad world, mad world

Yesterday was the calm before the storm. It was sunny, and somewhat warm outside. We’re expecting even more snow tonight. Yep it’s the end of April, and we’re expecting at the most about 20-22 inches of snow.

Good morning, hap hap happy Friyay! We’re almost to the weekend! We just have to make it through an 8 hour shift, and BOOM! The weekend awaits.

I’ll just have to stop at the grocery store to grab snacky snacks and I’ll be ready to be trapped in the flat.

But we’ll see what the weather brings us. Coffee time!

Left her, wasn’t coming in a hurry with the furies breathing down your neck

Ahh the calm before the storm! It’s somewhat sunny, but it’ll be overcast as the day progresses. According to the news, it’ll start to rain, then that’ll transition into snow. Saturday will carry the brunt of the snowy weather.

Looks like if I don’t get called into work for Saturday, I’m not leaving the Flat if it’s snowing like a mofo. I’ll make sure that I have everything I need.

But let’s not dwell on what might happen. Let’s just make sure that today will be a good day. I have coffee, so that’s a start! Let’s go, Thursday!
