It’s bad bitch o’clock, yeah, it’s thick-thirty

The alarm went off, and all I wanted to do was snuggle Crystal. Unfortunately, I’m sure she’d been awake for at least an hour. So snuggling was the last thing on her mind. So snuggled for about a minute while the alarm was going off, and telling us the next couple of days of weather in CapitalCity.

Two days ago, I suddenly remembered that I hadn’t ordered anything for Crystal’s birthday next week. I profusely apologized, and said I would stop at the bank on the way to Shady Acres. Well I totally forgot to stop, so just after getting comfortable at my parents, I had to go back out.

After I had gotten back, I borrowed my moms iPad, and ordered a few items for Crystal. Both for her birthday, and for Valentine’s Day, a few days after. Most items should be here either on Valentine’s Day, or a couple of days after. Except for one item that said there was stock, when I ordered. But now it’s just saying that it’s preparing for shipment, we’ll email you when it’s available. Ugh.

It’s the day before I go back to work, and it’s a bonus day. I don’t plan on doing too much. I’ll probably pop over to the grocery store later on, and I’ll pop into the post office to see if any Ali express stuff has popped magically into our post office box.

But other than that, I have nothing planned. Maybe watching Crystal play more Assassins Creed. It’s seriously like watching a movie. It’s pretty awesome.

Oh, well hello there, my friends. When did you get here? The Flat is officially awake. I’ve been up since around 6:30ish, and Crystal suspects that she’s been up since around 5:30. It wasn’t my fault this time. Chaucer was snuggled up very close to her. And he’s like a tiny furry easy bake oven.

So we were up at the normal time yesterday to be ready to leave around 10 to drive out to the farm with my dad to repair the heater core, or blower. Whatever. Ha! I got a text about 9:30 saying that he was going to take his work truck out so we could follow. We pulled up to the corner just as he was getting there.

We made it out to the farm and pulled into the garage. Immediately he got to work. I was wearing an old hoodie expecting to help, but as we saw it truly was a one person job. In about 20 minutes he was done. The windshield wash was dethawed and emptied out. The Hot Mess Express has warm silent heat again!

At that point only about an hour had passed, so I asked what Crystal is most afraid about – do you want to go for a drive? I could see her internally screaming! So we drove to a new SlightlyBiggerTown. We grabbed some bread, liverwurst, and a few other things, brought it home, and….

Had the yummiest lunch that we’ve had in a couple of years.

But today is Sunday. Fun day. Chore day. I’ll be starting those in about an hour. But first I have to disturb the tiny cat that’s asleep on my lap. I need more coffee.

Good morning everyone. We’re awake. We’ll I’m starting to wake up, Crystal has been awake for probably a few hours. Me? I’ve been awake for probably 20 minutes.

So on Tuesday, I made a video of a weird sound that was coming from the truck. I sent it to my mom who in turn showed it to my dad. We worked out that it was probably the heater core. We agreed that my dad would check out the price and tell us so we could buy it. I think it was Thursday, when I got the question from my mom – are you working on Saturday?

So today we’ll be heading out to the far to do surgery on the Hot Mess Express. I’m dragging Crystal out with me, so she can help, and to get her out of the house for a while. I would never have suggested it, if the garage wasn’t heated.

So that’s in a couple of hours. First coffee and kitty snuggles. Good morning, let’s all have a great Saturday, shall we?

Holy fuck everyone, it’s Friyay! That’s right motherfuckers, it’s almost the freakin weekend! I was up around 2am, fell back asleep, up around 5, then 6, but managed to fall back asleep rather quickly.

I got a text from my mom with a picture of a heater core, asking if I’m working on Saturday. I guess we’ll all be working on the Hot Mess Express. That should be fun.

But before I can take on the furniture world this morning, I need to fuel up. That’s right, that means coffee. Copious amounts of coffee. Thankfully the pot is already tapped. But, it’s almost time to get a refill.

We’ll, last night was an adventure. It was shortly after 10 last night, while we were watching some funny TikTok’s. I looked at Crystal, and said “I have to go to bed now, I feel sick.” I stumbled to bed, foregoing brushing my teeth and everything. I climbed into bed, and passed out. I woke up so very briefly at around 2, and then didn’t really move until the alarm went off.

Good morning my friends, it’s almost the end of the week. The end is in sight! Yesterday was a slow, slow day at work. The excitement happened shortly after 4, when a large delivery come in. I directed the truck driver over to our warehouse, because the back room is full. It took about a half hour to get it all in the warehouse. This morning, I’ll go back over and mark the pieces with the customers names, and take all the paperwork back to the store, and notify the customers.

But right now, I’m having coffee. Happy Thursday everyone. Y’all stay sleezy!
