You get up every morning from your alarm clock’s warning take the 8:15 into the city

Good morning party people. I’m thinking that it’s Monday. That last day off before heading back to work. It’s been a very very nice long weekend. I do and don’t want to go back to work. It’s been really nice not having to go into work. But I like money, so I’ll be going in tomorrow.

Yesterday was a good day. We didn’t do a heck of a lot, other than the chores. We went over to Shady Acres for Easter dinner, where we had ham, scalloped potatoes, and Crystal had some sweet potato fries with her ham. It was a good dinner.

Over the weekend, we watched Dr Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. It was really funny. And scary that, it was released back in ‘64, but scary because most of it is still relevant.

Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here, this is the war room!

Ok coffee and contemplation. Happy Monday!

He’s gotta be strong, and he’s gotta be fast and he’s gotta be fresh from the fight

What a wild trip it’s been. The first picture I uploaded was on March 11th. From there, I mostly explored – staying on the road for some reason. Crystal was the one that went overland, and found a lot more things than I did. So I’ve been kinda playing catch-up.

But I have gotten stuff done. I’ve tamed 3 out the 4 Divine Beasts. I only have one left – the hard one. The one that took Crystal 2 days, and a couple of video walkthroughs.

I couldn’t hardly sit there and watch. See, I yell things out. I’m tasked with watching the hearts to make sure to tell her when to eat. I did that, and Thunder Blight Ganon was almost down, and I had to stand up. But she did it! She kicked his ass!

So here’s some pictures that I’ve gathered over the last month. The last one with Link on the bone horse – is a picture that Crystal took. She tamed it. This game is pretty cool. It’s the first game in a while that I’ve really sunk my teeth into.

I may not beat this one, but I’m going to come damn close before Tears of the Kingdom comes out.

Midnight, and I’m a-waitin’ on the twelve-oh-five

The cats were wrestling on me at one point this morning. It’s warm and sunny out there. They’ve just been getting up earlier and earlier. I was the wrestling mat this morning. Welcome to the first real day of spring. After checking the weather app, we’ve actually started out in positive temps this morning.

Needless to say, the table is set up, and Pippin is probably loafed sitting in a sun beam. She knows it’s getting warmer out there, and has been demanding the table pretty much every day over the last couple of days.

Good morning my friends. It’s Sunday, I think. It’s been difficult to figure out which day it is, because I had Friday off as well. But according to the calendar, it is Sunday. Chore day!

But before all that, I need some coffee. Lots of coffee. I was up a little early, trying to go back to sleep. I think I mostly dozed for about a half an hour before the alarm went off.

We didn’t really do too much yesterday. I played BotW. And by played, I wandered around randomly killing things. And gathering materials. I think one more day of doing that, and I’ll be prepared enough with foods and stuff, to actually start my one man assault on Hyrule castle. We’ll see. I’ve been in it, but yeah. With 3 out of 4 Divine Beasts, I’ll probably have to face two Ganons.

Other than chores and going over to Shady Acres, there’s not too much on the docket today. We’ll see what happens! Happy Easter 🐇

A-just a-choogling on down to New Orleans

Oh, hello there. Can you answer me this? Is it Saturday, or Sunday? With having yesterday off, it’s hard to keep track. I mean I know it’s Saturday, but my hard wired brain seems to think that I’m supposed to be doing laundry in an hour or so.

Spoiler alert: I’m not going to be doing chores today.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I didn’t even get dressed. I did play BotW for more of the day. I prepped, and geared up, and chased another divine beast. This time it was the Goron one. The lizard. It wasn’t too hard to get to it. And for the most part, the puzzles weren’t too difficult. I mean I did all of them except one, by myself.

The last terminal stumped me. I just couldn’t figure it out. So for the first time in the divine beasts that I’ve released, I googled it. I read it, and exclaimed,

Jesus Christ, why didn’t I think about looking up, in the hallway next to where I’m standing?” I looked up, and found what I was looking for.

After Crystal got out of her bath, she geared up, and started a divine beast too. The one that the internet says is the most difficult. She pretty much got in with no problems, but lemme tell you about the puzzles. It’s like a three piece rubix cube. After a few hours, she’s managed to get 3 out of the 5 terminals turned on.

We watched a video. That seemed to not help a lot. The video of the guy doing it seemed like he was confused, and I think it confused her more than it helped. I’ll find a better video, and I’m calling it now:

The last two puzzles will take Crystal about 10-15 minutes, and then BOOM, it’ll be done. She’s so much better at the puzzles than I am. It’s how her mind works. I’m better at brute force and ignorance. She’s the stealthy, sneaky person. Wait, maybe she’s a secret agent. I’ll have to ask her. Because everyone knows that if you ask a secret agent, they have to answer truthfully.

She’s in deep. I don’t think that she knows that she’s a secret agent. Mind control? Hypnotism? Another tism? I’m on it.

Oh, and happy Rex Manning day!!

And then he, he walked on down the hallway

Good morning everyone. Welp, we made it to Friyay. And let me tell you that it is a good Friyay. It’s warmish out there, and just a little froggy. But that should possibly burn off throughout the morning.

Since it’s Easter, the shop is closed today and tomorrow. It was a surprise for me at the start of the week, because I totally forgot about Good Friday.

Work was pretty good yesterday. BossLady took off while I was on lunch. She’s going to visit family this Easter with one of her daughters. NewNewGirl is driving to the next province over to visit and be with family. We’re lucky. The only driving we need to do is over to my parents for Easter dinner on Sunday.

So we’re sitting here watching TV last night. And some deer come up to the window. I had filled the bird feeder, and then Johnny Appleseeded the ground with some excess seed. Well some deer thought it would be nice to stop by and say hi to the cats, which sat with rapt attention. Just sitting and watching the deer that are a double pane window apart from them.

It was so cool! Puppen only started to get territorial when another cat wandered in to the deer zone. I think at one point she got overwhelmed and tried to hide behind a planter.

It was very neat to watch them just live their best life while eating all the birdseed they could.

The bird feeder is empty now. Silly deer.
