And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere! And gie’s a hand o’ thine!

Good morning, my friends! Happy Boxing Day everyone. The Beautiful One (with an assist by Podrick), let me sleep in until 8:10. Thank you very much. Podrick is currently stalking Pippin.

I have to check if SlightlyBiggerTown will be open today. I’d rather do the grocery shopping, and all that fun stuff today, rather than do it after work tomorrow. So after I post I’ll go and make sure everything will be open.

It was a really good day yesterday. We went to the nursing home to have Christmas lunch with gramma. She was doing very well yesterday. It was overwhelming. You could tell she wasn’t used to so many people in the home. But exchanged presents with her, and did a video call to my aunt and cousin. Another resident came in and sat with us, and followed us to where we were going to have lunch. The residents daughter found her, and took her back to their little celebration area. We gave hugs and kisses to gramma, and we went home for a couple of hours.

A couple of hours later, we headed over to Shady Acres, to exchange gifts with my parents. The bulk of the gifts will arrive on Monday, so I’ll head up there again, after their other presents are wrapped. But more importantly, Crystal’s presents are in there, so those will get wrapped first! The kitties presents are in that package as well. They’ve been very good, so they’ll get them, sans wrapping paper.

I opened up a present from my parents, and I got a beautiful pair of moccasins. New slippers! And they’re so warm! Crystal got a pair of mukluks, and we both got an air fryer, which I’m sure we’ll use a lot!

Back to work tomorrow. Working the weekend. That’s the way the cards are played; easy week, and slowly get used to working the full week again. It shouldn’t be too bad.

But let’s get some more coffee before anything actually happens. Happy Boxing Day everyone!

Good morning, merry Christmas! I hope y’all have a great day, and enjoy being with family and friends today. We have a whirl wind day planned. Over to the nursing home for a Christmas lunch with gramma, and then home for a couple of hours to bake a cake, and relax, then it’s off to Shady Acres for Christmas dinner.

The big package of Christmas gifts are somewhere between BC, and who knows where. The estimated date that they’ll arrive, is Monday the 29th. So we’ll have Christmas exchange then. I’ll grab my package, and Crystal’s , then we’ll be able to wrap the gifts, wait 3 minutes, and then we’ll rip the wrapping off

Yay! Destruction!

Well do what we alway do this Christmas, we’ll watch White Christmas, and I’ll silently cry. I don’t look to see if Crystal is crying, because she probably is. We don’t make a big deal out of it. It’s a very cute movie. I enjoy it every year.

So let’s greet the day! Happy Thursday! Merry Christmas my friends. ❤️

Oh, yeah, Santa we’re going to see AC/DC

We’re almost there. It’s Christmas Eve. All that stands before us and some time off is just a simple 8.5 hour shift. Yep, I’m working the Christmas Eve shift. But, at least there’s 3 of us working today. I’ll be heading in a little early, just like I do on Sundays. It’s the same hours.

I slept ok last night. I forgot to loop the video, so I think I actually slept through some Tibetan throat singing. But that’s on me. I ended up shutting off the mask, and raw dogging that last 45 minutes or so.

It was a somewhat busy day. We baked two cakes. I brought one up to work, quartered for some of the employees. And came home. We played some Red Dead Redemption, and I asked the question, which made Crystal the adult for the afternoon:

What do you want for dinner?

We ended up going across the street, and I bought The Beautiful One dinner. We listened to Christmas music, and the restaurant was actually somewhat busy.

We relaxed by watching NXT, and then I, in a flash of actually wanting to move the plot forward, put on a couple of episodes of House of Guinness.

So let’s get this day started!

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

Christmas bells those Christmas bells ringing through the land

Good morning my friends. It’s the day before the night before Christmas. Podrick was definitely stirring this morning. I guess he knocked over the box that we have in the bathroom. I’m thinking he has somewhat of an idea what time it is, and he’s lonely. He just wants his humans and his sister to get up and be with him.

I had to restart sleep daddy last night. I was 1000 miles away, so I reset the video I was listening to. I’m pretty sure, on the second go around, I made it to the body scan, and when the started on the crown of the head, I was out like a light. The bed was almost the perfect temperature. Just a little bit warm. Crystal had to get up to make sure Podrick didn’t destroy the apartment.

Also, it’s still dark out. Stupid solstice.

It’s baking day today. that is, if I can get sugar at the tiny grocery store. I think I’m going to do two pumpkin chocolate chip cakes today. One for Christmas and I’ll split one for the two other key holders at work. So once the grocery store is open, I’ll head up there to get the sugar (fingers crossed) and start baking.

But first, coffee.

Tracking update for the Christmas presents:

Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet

It’s morning time here at The Flat. It’s dark out. But the solstice was last night, so technically, the days are slowly starting to get longer again. So we have that going for us.

It’s still dark as night out there. And cold.

Back to work this afternoon for the easiest week possible. I’m only working 3 days this week, but I’ll be getting paid for 4 days. Can’t beat that. I just have to make it through today, Christmas Eve, and then Saturday. But I’ll concentrate on making it through 1 day at a time.

It was a nice day yesterday. I was totally lazy, and since I did the laundry the day before, I neglected to do the rest of my chores. I feel a bit bad. But, I was really nice to do nothing. I did cook brunch, and Crystal’s pancakes turned out amazingly well.

After brunch, when it was time, we headed over to Shady Acres. I hauled in half the wood pellets, and cleaned the stove. On Boxing Day, I’ll head back over, and haul the rest in, and clean the stove, as I’m working the weekend, and won’t be able to clean it on Sunday.

My Christmas package finally updated last night. The bulk of my parent’s gifts, and all of Crystal’s gifts won’t make it for Christmas. I guess they’ll be New Years gifts. I even ordered them with lots of time! The slow down was, as far as I can tell was when they delayed for 10 days when they were “picking” the items. Good times.

So let’s get ready to greet the day. Happy Monday y’all!
