This ain’t a scene, it’s a goddamn arms race

Yawn. Good Monday morning everyone. The start of a new week, I actually like Mondays. I like them because this is the last day of the weekend for me. One last day to sit and do nothing.

There are no plans to really do too much of anything today. We don’t have to be anywhere, or to actually do anything. I really like days like this.

We’re just waking up, the elixir of life has been brewed, and we have the news on to catch up what we may have missed over the weekend.

It was a really good weekend. Day off on Friyay for Remembrance Day. Which was really good. We played our co-op game for a few hours. I’m really enjoying Cat Quest 2. Saturday morning we got up, and got ready to head to CaptialCity.

Aside from some TPMS issues, we made good time up to the city. The traffic wasn’t bad at all, and the weather was perfect to drive up. We chatted and listened to some pretty good music.

The first stop was Value Village. We’ll, that was the second stop. The first real stop was the dirt mall. We looked at all the booths, Crystal bought some flavoured honey for Christmas presents for her mom. I think she’ll like them. We tested the chocolate flavoured honey before buying it.

Next we went into Value Village. I bee-lined it to the book section. I’ve been looking for two years for a hard cover New Moon, and a soft cover Breaking Dawn. I was not lucky enough to find them. I’ll keep searching for them. A little disappointing, but I want going to let the ruin my day. Crystal, in the other hand single handedly bought all the sweaters in the store. She’ll be toasty warm this winter, and that’s a good thing!

Next, we struck out at the vape shop, but again cleaned out the local weed store. Then it was lunch time. We had really good, but slightly overpriced burgers. Then we went to everyone’s favourite store – Walmart.

What a zoo! We did manage to get a lot of stuff that we needed. After loading it all in to the back of the Hot Mess Express, we started to make our way back to TinyTown.

So all in all, it was a good weekend. Let’s hope this next week is a good week as well.

MOAR COFFEE, PLS

‘Til all skeet-skeet, goddamn (goddamn)

Good Sunday morning everyone. It’s dark, and chilly out there, north of the wall. I think the wind is picking up a little too. It’s pretty much a perfect day for chore day. Currently, I’m being held down on the couch by Pippin.

I fell asleep last night to the dulcet tones of kitties chasing each other. There wasn’t too much amiss in the living room, minus the fur blanket on top the pirate chest. I don’t know who was chasing who, but I think they were still chasing each other when I passed out.

I woke up a couple times in the night, but I didn’t get out of bed. First was 5am, and I thought great, I’m awake really early in the morning. Then I fell asleep again. The next time I woke up, it was 6am. That’s when I thought, I can work with this, I can start the coffee. Then the next time was when the alarm went off.

That brings us to right now. Coffee, and a kitten, Dateline on TV, and my beautiful girl next to me. It’s a good morning. In an hour or so, laundry will be started.

It’s gonna be a good day.

And since I’ve forgotten for a week now, WordPress sent me this. It’s pretty impressive, at least for me. I’ve been posting to this site for over 800 days now. That’s even more impressive, but this was pretty cool if you ask me.

Tell me whatcha wanna do, whatcha gonna do?

Good morning everyone! It’s Saturday, and it’s dark outside. I’m up with coffee, and Crystal is becoming human.

It was a glorious lazy day here at the Flat. We played a couple of hours of Cat Quest 2, and gained about 7 or 8 levels. It’s a really fun game. I like beating on things until they stop moving.

After that we cooked dinner and settled in to watch a movie. We watched Clerks 3. Wow. What a beautiful love letter to the original film. So much nostalgia. I was in tears a couple of times at the end. Kevin Smith, while being the king of fart jokes, etc can sure write himself some very touching dialogue. All I could think of at the end, was they look so young in the flashbacks. SO VERY YOUNG.

They were. The original move came out in 1994. 28 years ago it came out. Wow. It still feels like the 90s were 10 years ago.

After that heavy heavy movie, I needed something to cleanse the palette to say the least. Crystal suggested Bad Boys for Life. It was a very good popcorn movie for sure with just enough of a plot/storyline to make it passable. You can really notice that these characters are getting older, there were less stunt-fighting. But still a quality flick.

We’re off to CapitalCity for a day of shopping. It’ll be a long day, but a good day.

Pitter patter…

Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo (Play on, play on, player)

Awake. Well awake again. I’ve been tossy turny this morning. A little too warm I think. And I’m stuffed up, so that didn’t help whilst trying to stay asleep. So here we are. Crystal has been up for about an hour longer than me. She turned on the coffee. She’s awesome.

Day off today. It’s Remembrance Day here. In a few hours I’ll be walking up to Veterans park for the ceremony. Then back to the Flat.

Last night after work, we went to one of the local restaurants. We were greeted, and were asked if we just wanted “our usual”. So we didn’t need to see menus. In a few minutes our food came out. I swear that each week they see how many fries can physically fit on one plate with a burger. If you head over to Crystal’s page you’ll see the amount of fries they gave me. It’s insane, I couldn’t finish.

So everyone out there. Happy Remembrance Day, or Veterans Day, or simply, happy Friyay. I hope all y’all have a good day.

In Flanders Fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Making love out by the lake to our favorite song

We’ll, hello there my friends. It’s a dark, chilly morning here in TinyTown. The breeze is light, and it looks like it’ll be another cool day out.

The weekend is in sight!

That’s right. I just have to survive today, and then I won’t have to go back to work until Tuesday morning. It’s a mini vacation!

I slept like the dead last night. I woke up to look at the alarm clock around 5 or 5:30, and thought oh god I’m wide awake. I was for about 2 seconds. The next time I woke up was 6:50, then the alarm went off, and here we are.

Saturday, we should be heading to CapitalCity. I’ve been looking forward to this trip for a couple of weeks. We have a large list, and Google Maps travel listing to go to. It should be a fun day. Fun, but a busy day.

The bonus: I can shut the alarm off for tomorrow. That’s a really good thing.

We’ve been enjoying Letterkenny. We’ve seen a lot of clips and funny bits on YouTube, but seeing the same bits with context is even better.

Ok, I need more coffee. I’m outie9000
