The stars at night are big and bright (clap, clap, clap, clap) Deep in the heart of Texas

Good morning! It’s the start of another work week here. I miss my heated mattress pad. I woke up cold cold COLD this morning. It’s my fault though, I didn’t realize it would get as cold as it did with the window open. Granted, it’s not open much, but it’s open enough for me to wake up with diamond hard neeps. Seriously, do you need some glass cut?

Last full week of me living at Shady Acres. I go through phases of being really excited, really scared, and worrying about my mom and family. My mom joke about having to go through the whole “empty nest syndrome” all over again, but you can tell she’s going to miss me. She says I do a lot around the place to help. I guess I do. I don’t see it, but she does.

Coffees ready!

I hope y’all have a great day!

Hold up my balloons and cover up my face

‘Scuse me, while I rant a while.

One day, one day soon I hope, I won’t get messaged on every one of my days off from people at work. Yep, Saturday, Sunday, and today, Monday, I got messages. Saturday, it was almost a stream of consciousness from NewGirl. Stop. Look. And find it yourself. Can’t find the keys? Use the freakin master keys. Jesus.

Yesterday, and today, I got messaged from BossLady. Today she’s actually at the store. Look. You’ll find it, I promise. Yesterday, I think she was fishing for me to go in and find something for her. That’s gonna be a no from me, dawg. I was wrestling a mattress in to The Flat. By myself.

On a less annoying note, my moms working in a new quilt. My gramma comes in and stops and stares. “Did you know I did all the embroidery on that?” Yes gramma I was here when you did it all. “I don’t remember how long it took me to do that. I must have been real patient.” It doesn’t matter how long it took you. You had fun making it. “What’s that in dads chair? It’s a weird animal with its head upside down.” Its a cat, gramma, it’s sleeping.

I know I’ll probably eat my words, but it is so peaceful at The Flat. Quiet. I talk to Toaster. He’s a good boy. I sat there this morning in silence. I was smiling. No random conversations. No aggressive clearing of throats. No people having loud conversations with the cats at 7am. Just silence.

There. Just had to get that off my chest. I feel better! Thanks for listening!

Your breath is sweet, your eyes are like
Two jewels in the sky

Good morning! Happy Monday. I got a lot done with the help of my dad. The Flat now has places to sit in the living room, and my bed is over here now. I’m back on the day bed over at Shady Acres.

Ignore the quote on the wall. It’s nonsense.

With about 10 days to go, everything is coming together. I only have a handful of stuff left to bring over. Some clothes, a hamper, TV, and some plastic shelving. Not too shabby. When I actually move in on the 1st, I should be able to go to the thrift store after the internet guy installs.

I walk into The Flat this morning, and toaster decided he wanted to clean, and was partially stuck under the fridge. I picked him up and sent him to his home, so he could charge.

Not too much going on today. I have to clean the stove, and move the kitchen table so my mom can clean the kitchen. She’s also requested another episode of Sherlock. So that’ll be the day.

The. It’s back to the grind tomorrow.

Anyways, happy Monday y’all!

Spring starts when a heartbeat’s pounding

Good morning to everyone that reads this! All 2 of you! Yesterday was a wicked productive and busy day. Up early I packed the truck up, and brought it over. There, I unpacked everything and then disposed of the boxes, and did it all over again. Once everything was moved over, I went to SlightlyBiggerTown.

Ooh! But before I left, I had a bowl over cereal. This is the first bowl of cereal in over a year. I love milk, and it tasted great, as I ate it hunched over the kitchen counter. Then I decided to let the toaster out for a run.

It’s very very quiet, and seems to just randomly move around The Flat. I was happy with it, because it did pick up everything in its path, and returned the living room to its peak cleanness.

Back to the story. Once in SlightlyBiggerTown, I got more odds and ends of stuff that I needed. Got a small thing of chicken stir fry, basically thin sliced chicken breast. For my rattlesnake pasta. And some bacon and cheddar sausages.

I hat a quick lunch. Breakfast for lunch in fact. It was very yummy. I found out that SlightlyBiggerTown has an antique store, so I went in and wandered around. I bought two old glass mixing bowls. Then I had to skedaddle and get home to unpack all my treasures.

I got back to the house, happy with what I accomplished. Just sitting down to relax, my mom said she found a dining room set. It was only about 45 minutes away. Picked that up, and dropped it off at The Flat, hung out there for a few extra minutes. I really like the place. I’m very excited to move in.

Today, is kind of up in the air. I dunno if my dad will help move the couch and a chair over, or if he’s just going to sleep all day. He had a terrible day at work. If not, that’s ok. I’ll move my odds and ends over, and maybe hang out over there for a while.

But for right now, coffee. Happy Sunday you beautiful mofos.

Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking ’bout tomorrow

I’ve been awake on and off since about 6:20. I dozed until 6:50 and then got up and got dressed. I packed the truck up and took off. Then did I look at the clock. 7:11. The truck is unpacked, and I’m enjoying my first cup of coffee in The Flat.

So the plan is to get what I brought unpacked and do and get like 4 more boxes and then unpack it and then play with the robot vacuum.

Happy Saturday y’all!
