‘Cause God blessed Texas with His own hand brought down angels from the Promised Land

Good morning. I’m awake. I feel terrible – Crystal, I don’t think has slept yet. Just under an hour ago, Crystal landed in the Line Star State. Only 3 hours before she climbs aboard her last plan to get into Florida.

I put the other weighted blanket on the bed last night. On top of the other one. I don’t think I moved last night. I now have two 30lb blankets on me.

Coffee.

It’s so quiet here, even with the TV on.

So I left Crystal at the airport, because she had to go through security. I left crying and paid the $8 to get out of the parking lot. I was very sad, tears streaming down my face. But I had a mission:

The Warhammer store. Goddamn it, I was going to have a little retail therapy. I got there, and the freakin door was locked. LOCKED. WTF?

Well from what I can gather, the manager is currently isolating due to COVID. Not even a note on the door or anything. Ugh. I hope he’s feeling better, but I was upset.

I figured that I’d drive across CapitalCity, and buy a book at the local chain book store.

EVERY book I searched for, wasn’t available. I could order it, but WTF, mate? I just want to buy something to make myself feel better, albeit temporary.

No luck.

I gassed the truck up, stopped at McDonald’s, and grabbed two cheese burgers and drove back to TinyTown.

So, yeah, happy Sunday. It’s chores day here. In a few hours though.

ich liebe dich sehr. Du wirst bald schlafen. die Katze ist auf dem Tisch.

Since we’ve no place to go let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

It’s still snowing out there! Lots of the ole white stuff out there.

And, it’s still mostly wicked cold out there too. Eventually, I’ll be out to shovel out to the road, as I’ll be back at work tomorrow, so I won’t have the time tomorrow morning to do it.

Today, I think it’ll be more of the same here at The Flat – being geeks, and building Warhammer models. I built three Paragon Warsuits, but I still have models to build from the Combat Patrol box.

Then I’ll have to paint. That step, I’m kinda putting off. But sooner or later, I’ll have to paint.

But right now, coffee and morning snuggles on the couch. Yay snuggles!

I’m easy like Sunday morning, yeah

It’s dark, cold, snowy, and windy outside. With the wind, it’s around -16c. It doesn’t look like we’ve accumulated too much snow, but you can’t tell with the wind blowing it all around.

I slept pretty good. Out like a light. I think I woke up briefly around 5, and fell right back asleep until the alarm went off.

I don’t think it’ll be too busy today, but who knows. I’ll be at work either way, ready for the furniture masses to come out and buy stuff.

The coffee is ready, so let’s start this day!

And the days go by, like a strand in the wind

The snow started last night, it’s supposed to snow for all of today, and tomorrow. I’m not sure how I feel about this. Saturday, I was wearing shorts. Now, I’m back in layers again.

I don’t have too many plans for today. I have to dust, and plant some parsley, rosemary, and thyme. And food, I have to figure out some food too.

I’m having French pressed coffee. It’s very very good. My French press is small basically just big enough for a mug of coffee. So I’ll have to figure out the other cup, cup and a half that I usually drink in the morning.

It’s a good day, to have a good day. Happy Monday funday!

Let the Midnight Special shine a light on me

I’m awake. I’ve been up since about 6:20. I tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn’t. I got out of bed about 10 minutes ago. Loaded the coffee pot, and turned it on. Then I remembered that I wanted to use my French press. I’ll press tomorrow.

We’re expecting snow – around 10 centimetres, or around 4 inches. I think though, it’s supposed to rain first, you know to get that nice layer of ice first. It’s not doing anything yet, but it’s grey and chilly out. It looks like it want to fuck some shit up out there.

Nothing much on deck this morning. I have laundry to do, and I’m hoping to actually cook breakfast. Least I’m up early enough to make all this around 10ish, so I can save room for dinner, as I’ve been invited over to Shady Acres for dinner tonight.

Now if you excuse me, the coffee is ready.
