Rip all the spots, rock all the rocks, cop all the drops

Awake. Well, I’ve been up for about 10ish minutes before the alarm went off. With the new curtain in the kitchen Chaucer almost slept til the alarm. He was just starting to pace just before it went off.

It’s bright and sunny this morning, and Pippin is waiting by the back door to see the garbage truck go by. It’s the start of a new week here. A slightly shorter week. I’m only working til Thursday this week. I have Friday off for the Tears of the Kingdom launch. I’m excited. I just have to make it through this work week.

Like I said, it’s bright and sunny, outside the birds are singing. The coffee has been brewed, and the cats are happy that we’re awake. So happy that one is at the back door, and the other is eating right now.

I watched Crystal kick ass yesterday while playing Assassins Creed 2. I’ve kinda missed hearing Crystal randomly mutter parkour! It’s a pretty neat story, and I can’t wait to see what it’s like a little further down the road when she’s actually very powerful.

Ok, I need more coffee. Happy Tuesday!

She lives on Love Street lingers long on Love Street

Good morning my friends. Once again, I passed out as soon as my head hit the pillow. It seems like that happens every night on the weekends. I just crash. The bed was the perfect temperature as I fell off the cliff of tiredness, in to a pool of sleep. I only got up once in the night. Well, it was about a half hour before the alarm went off. I just had to go to the bathroom.

The chores went off without a hitch yesterday. As usual. I sprayed the shower down and put bowl cleaner in the toilet. Then I fired up BotW. I completely forgot to wipe down and actually clean the bathroom. That’s when I shut off the game, and finished my chores.

Crystal made grilled cheese on naan bread. I made some left over perogies to supplement the grilled cheese. They were pretty good, and lunch was a success! We cleaned up, and Crystal asked if she could play some Assassins Creed, I said first off, you never have to ask permission to do something, and second – of course you can! I found the game and put it in the Switch. She started playing AC 2. From what she says the controls are a little wonky, but the story seems very interesting so far.

After she had played for a couple of hours, we paused the game, and headed up to Shady Acres for dinner. We got a curtain for the kitchen, and today I’ll probably move out of my comfort zone, and put up some hardware and hang the curtain.

It’s our usual lazy day here. Brunch for well, brunch. And then we’ll figure out something for dinner. Last night before falling asleep, I suggested chicken, Japanese curry, and rice. But we’ll figure it out later on today. I might hop up to the little grocery store, and pick up a bag of chips or something. I’ve been craving something crunchy.

But right now, coffee please! Happy Monday my friends!

Ain’t that about a bitch?!

Mississippi in the middle of a dry spell

Good Sunday morning everyone. We’re in the thick of the weekend now. It’s a little gray out there with a slight breeze. But it’s not snowing, so there’s that.

We were up wicked early yesterday to watch the Kings coronation, so around 10:30 last night we went to bed. Once I was comfortable, I was out. I crashed like Paul Walker*

Work yesterday was ok. There were a few people that popped in just “to snoop around”. I figured it out yesterday – there’s not a lot to do in these small towns, so in an effort to get out and to do something, people will drive from small town to small town to see what’s there. I totally believe that bored people would actually go to car dealerships you know, for fun.

After work, I picked up Crystal and we took off to the closest car dealership greenhouse. It’s not too far, pretty close to the only gas station on the outskirts of town. We wandered around looking at all the pretty plants.

We ended up getting some Brussels sprouts, morning glory, heartbreaker, and midnight sky. I can’t wait to see what they look like when they’re all flowering and looking good. And most importantly, we’ll hopefully have some yummy sprouts in a month or two. Bonus!

Today is chore day, I’ll be starting that in an hour or so. I need coffee first to power Big Chore. I contacted my landlady yesterday, and told her about the screen door. She gave me the contact info for the handyman, I copied and pasted the same text message to him, and he stopped by and took a look. He should be stopping by tomorrow to see if he can fix it. Thankfully, we’re not the only people that have a bum screen door.

Alright, I’ve typed too much! It’s like a book up in here! Happy Sunday y’all! Have some coffee!

*too soon?

God save our gracious king!
Long live our noble king!

Good early morning, we’re awake and watching the coronation of King Charles III. We missed a little bit of it, but we made it to catch the back half of it. I have to say I love the pomp and circumstance of it. There’s a huge difference between American and English pomp and circumstance.

Heh. Pomp and circumstance.

It’s another day here. Up earlier today, we beat the sun. It’s slowly making its way up into the sky as we speak. It looks like it might be a bright day, but according to the weather app it’s mostly cloudy today.

Just a quick shift this morning. Only a couple of hours so it shouldn’t be too bad today. Hopefully it’ll go pretty quickly. I want to get my weekend on. And I can’t do that if I’m at work.

My brain isn’t awake test, and I’m struggling to find words to type here, so I should probably say, happy Saturday y’all! It’s the weekend!

Happy Saturday y’all! It’s the weekend!

A jumpin’ up, fallin’ down don’t misunderstand me

With Chaucer trying his hardest to wake me up to feed him, he was up to hijinks this morning. He was clawing at the floor on my side of the bed, close to my head. Then shortly before the alarm was supposed to go off, he decided that he should throw up. In the bedroom, that’s what actually got me out of bed.

Good morning my friends. Welcome to Friyay! We made it. Mostly. I have work today, and tomorrow. Yep, I even asked BossLady if we were going to be open on the Kings coronation. She said yes. So I’ll watch the coronation on YouTube at work.

Yesterday didn’t go too bad, considering that I was up early to deliver the truck and trailer about a half hour away so BossLady and NewNewGirl wouldn’t have to waste time driving all the way here. See TinyTown is in a weird spot. We’re a half hour away from two towns so I drove to meet them at what locals call the corner. It saved them about 40 minutes.

I slept like the dead last night. The bed was pretty comfy and perfectly warm. Just right. It would’ve been nice if Chaucer would just let us sleep until the alarm. But maybe that’ll change once we get a curtain up there.

Moar coffee pls!
