Leanin to the side but you can’t speed through two miles an hour so everybody sees you

Good sunny morning my friends! The sun is out, and the sun is warm this morning. It’s going to be a nice day out there. I think Chaucer snuggled with us – well, Crystal actually. I don’t know if Pippin snuggled, she was on the couch this morning when I climbed/rolled out of bed.

The coffee has been brewed, and is being consumed. It’s double duty today – chore day, and we’re having brunch today instead of tomorrow. Tomorrow we’ll be heading out to SlightlyBiggerTown for a couple of things. It’ll just be too hectic to have brunch tomorrow and go out. It’s not a big deal, I used to do the chores, and have bunch. I changed it to Monday to kind of extend the weekend.

Yesterday, to give Crystal a shirt break from her sweatshop we walked the block and a half to the local small town museum. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been to visit, and the first time for Crystal. It’s not a big museum, it took us about an hour and half to move our way through it. they have so much packed into such a small building.

We had a lot of fun in there. I found a picture of a friend, so I had to take a picture. I’ll pass that around work, and I’ll have to ask said person why he shaved off his moustache.

For dinner, I made wings for me and yummy chicken sandwiches for Crystal. We were both stuffed when we finished.

But yeah, to day is chore day. Yay chores! But before that can happen, it’s confeve time. Happy Sunday funday!

You thinkin’ what I’m thinkin’ (narnia!) man it’s happenin’

Good morning my friends. We survived the holiday, with bay but a scratch. We had massive thunderstorm warnings, but I’m pretty sure that less than 5 drops of water actually fell. It was nice and clear all night. We even managed to catch some pretty nice fireworks for a few minutes.

Yesterday was a lazy lazy day. We didn’t do a whole lot of anything. It was really nice. We booped around and watched some random things. Then I finally decided on something to watch. We watched the first two Mission: Impossible movies.

They were enjoyed. And honestly, somewhat dated. I mean the first one was released in 1996, and the second one in 2000. The tech is pretty dated now.

We also had the typical holiday dinner. Dinner consisted of some potato chips, and wait for it – hotdogs! It’s been a while since I’ve had hotdogs (in buns), and potato chips. Very yum. We have another 6 buns, and probably more than 6 wieners. But we’ll figure it out!

Not too much on deck here. We have dinner over at Shady Acres, and of course since it’s Sunday, it’s chore day here. The mission is to get it all done before it gets too hot in here. I think we’ll get them done.

But before anything, who wants some coffee? I have enough for two people, so you’re gonna have to bring your own!

Heartbreaker, soul shaker I’ve been told about you

And the lord said, let there be sound… and the talk radio turned on, and the people awoke. We’re awake here at the Flat. The sun is starting to shine. The cats are in their own spaces. Pippin is at the back door, watching her queendom, and Chaucer is on the pirate chest, 1000 yard staring. He’s like me, he needs a couple minutes to wake up. Shortly after he wakes up, he’ll find a nice spot to take a nap.

Yesterday was a blast. I think we hit almost every garage sale in town. Crystal won the TinyTown lottery, and got a few nice sheets, and I think two table cloths to make into cool pants. We also got a baking dish. Ooh! And a great little sewing basket for Crystal to put in all her bits and bobs into. She was also lucky enough to find a pair of Vibrams Five Fingers running shoes – IN HER SIZE!

I didn’t find anything that I just had to have. That’s ok, I wasn’t looking for myself. I was on the lookout for fabric for Crystal. I did find a soft cover New Moon. I had to walk to the car, and check my notes. I did it need the softcover, I need a hardcover. So I left it. I think if I’m going to get another set – it’ll be the white set.

We did find a cookbook that Crystal will probably send down to her mom. It’s a collection of recipes from homemakers clubs in Saskatchewan for the provinces golden jubilee. There’s some scary-ass recipes in there. I called out a couple, and Crystal came over and took a picture, and sent it to her mom. It’s from 1955, and was made to look like a group of women hand wrote it. I think Crystal said lithograph. But I could be wrong.

There’s always room for jello

Mimeograph. That’s what she said.

Well, it’s chore day here. I’ll be starting that in a little while. Just the normal stuff. It shouldn’t take too long to complete. Just a little time consuming. But it’s easy – put stuff in to the washer. Washer, washes, dryer dries. Good times, amirite?

Fire all of your guns at once and explode into space

Good Sunday morning everyone! We’re face deep in the weekend now. It’s bright and sunny, and will probably be a nice day out. Today, I’ll be mowing the lawn over at Shady Acres this afternoon. My dad asked me in his way for me to do it – “you better take your allergy pills this weekend…”

So after doing all the chores here, I’ll be hopping on the ride on lawnmower, and spending an hour or so mowing their backyard. Lucky for me, there back yard is mostly covered in shade so it won’t be that hot back there.

But before all that, it’s chore day here. First up on deck is laundry. I’ll be doing the bedsheets as well this morning, so in a little bit, I’ll be stripping the bed. But I’ll need to have some coffee. But it should be a pretty good day.

Yesterday was pretty dead at work, but that’s to be expected. There was something much more important going on in town – Graduation Day for the high school seniors. I had a few people come in and look around. Only a few bucks in sales. But sales none the less. I got out of there pretty quickly right at two.

So come dance the silence down through the morning

Good Sunday morning my friends. The sun is chirping, and the birds are shining. It looks like it’s gonna be a nice day out there. I do believe it’s going to be a little warmer out there. The temps are starting to rise again. Not a cloud in the sky. Chaucer is on the table looking out the back door, and Pippin is loving life, looking out the front window.

Yesterday at work, it was just busy enough to pass the time a little quicker than normal. But there was a baseball tournament going on, so there wasn’t much foot traffic into the store, but it was still a good day.

After work, I grabbed a couple of items for dinner at the grocery store, and wandered home. I watched Crystal play TotK for a little while, and then it was my turn. I played until it was time to start cooking.

I made a feast for us – French fries, and bacon cheeseburgers. We’ll for Crystal m, it was a mushroom bacon cheeseburger. I surprised her with a can of mushrooms. She cooked those up as I was cooking the bacon.

Long story, short: it was a very good feast, and we walked away from the dinner very full. There were a few more hours of TotK, and then some tv. By the time it was just about 11, and Crystal was falling asleep, so that’s what we did.

As per usual, there’s not too much planned today. It’s Sunday, so there’s chores to do, and then this afternoon we’ll be heading over to Shady Acres for dinner. Mom asked if I could help with the lawn. I just said sure, and to have my dad make sure the lawn mower would start, and I’d have no problem mowing the lawn.

We’ll see if it starts.

But before all that, I need some go-go juice. Time to fill up my cup again! Happy Sunday!
