Someday the mountain might get ’em, but the law never will

First there was darkness.

Awake!

Shit, it’s still dark out.

Here we are. Good Friyay morning to everyone! The first week of December is just about in the books. I think either starting today, or jumping into tomorrow, we’re supposed to be entering our frigid era here in TinyTown. I’ll be pulling out the ol parka. I may have to remove the fir from the hood. I have a feeling that Podrick would love to chew on that.

Whilst sitting on the couch yesterday, I was trying to mentally map out when I should order everyone’s Christmas gifts. Looking at the calendar, it would be now or never, so I pulled the trigger. They should be here between the 8th (lol) and the 22nd. Jeez that’s cutting it really short. And of course the package that’s due to be here around the 22nd, has the wrapping paper.

Work wasn’t too bad yesterday. Some rushes, but nothing that two people couldn’t handle. They didn’t come in fast and hard, just the annoying thing of as soon as you take your coat off, the next customer comes. I have to get used to that. But we managed to get out, and head home, so we can do it again this afternoon.

Working all weekend. It shouldn’t be too bad. Opening Saturday, means I’ll get out at 1:30. Just a quick stop at my parent’s place to clean the stove. I’ll try to remember to grab the vacuum cleaner before I go, and I’ll be able to drop it off while my parents are in CapitalCity Monday.

But before that, comes today. Let’s gooooo!

So we got in the red VW microbus with the shovels and rakes and implements of destruction and headed on toward the police officer’s station.

Good dark morning internet kids. It’s another dark, and probably cold day out there. Back to work this afternoon. I’m working until Sunday evening. It shouldn’t be too bad, just an early morning for the Saturday morning shift.

Podrick was mostly good this morning. But you know what they say about quiet toddlers – if they’re quiet, they’re getting into trouble. He got into a little bit of trouble this morning. He got into the bathroom box, and knocked a couple of pictures down. With the bathroom reset, and the pictures picked up, we’re (mostly) awake, and ready to greet the sunrise.

The only major thing that we did yesterday, was to go up to the post office to ship out a package to the USA. There’s a new extra step that we have to do – duty wise. But that extra step only took another 2 or 3 minutes. But it was just like uploading your resume to indeed. You upload, and then the post office lady had to in put all the same information.

We joked around, and chatted while all the information was input. The package was accepted, and it’s on its way. I checked this morning and it’s already in CapitalCity. I really felt accomplished.

We relaxed for the rest of the day, and around 2pm, I put the turkey breast into the oven. Over the course of the next couple of hours, I got the sides, and everything started. With only a couple of minutes left, I turned on Alice’s Restaurant. We listened to it, I had a few tears welling up. And before we knew it, thanksgiving dinner was served.

And it was very good. We ate until we were full dishes were taken care of, and we relaxed for the rest of the evening. Slowly recharging our internal batteries.

The sun is slowly rising, and that means the day has begun. Happy Thursday everyone. Try and stay warm out there.

Happy Thanksgiving! Yes, I know I’m late, for both. But we’ve already celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving. And even though it’s past time, I had a day off a box of turkey boob, and a counter full of high processed food ready for this evening when we feast!

Podrick wasn’t too bad this morning. He wasn’t as loud or as annoying as he could. He was trying to open the door, like a human. He jumps at the doorknob, I think just because it makes a racket when you just pull and let go. He rattles it.

The coffee has been brewed, and I’ll put on Alice’s Restaurant a little later, when it’s time to either put the turkey in the oven, or when I’m pulling it out. I haven’t decided yet.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Good morning. Like Crystal has mentioned, Podrick is so close to be opening doors. Thankfully, I put a weight on the bedroom side of the door, so he can’t get his paw under the door to pull. He was rather quiet this morning. I think I kicked him out of the bedroom around 6:40. All I wanted was another 20 minutes to sleep. He gave me almost an hour!

According to my weather app, snow is coming in about 20 minutes. I don’t believe it. It’s just gonna be cold and windy, I think. The new gloves that I bought on Sunday are really nice. They’re just big. I’m not used to them quite yet.

The coffee is flowing this morning Pippin is watching Podrick chase a laser. Now he’s not. But he might soon. Who knows? Certainly not Podrick. Not a thought goes through his mind. He gets the one brain cell once every couple of weeks.

Didn’t finish RAW last night. I’ll probably watch the last, like, 15 minutes after the news circles back on its self. It’s Tuesday, my dudes.

My memory is muddy, what’s this river that I’m in?

Good morning, fam. Podrick was being Podrick this morning, so I’m up a little early this morning. I was nice and warm, and sleeping. With just a little drool on the pillow.

I got up, and dressed. I stumbled out to the kitchen, and turned on the coffee. Then I turned my attention to the living room. I picked up some books. I know, one morning, it’s gonna look like a bomb went off. But, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Welcome to Monday morning.

Once again, it’s dark out. Very dark. I think going forward, that’ll be the theme of every morning from here on out, until spring. And spring is so very far away.

Yesterday, we travelled to SlightlyBiggerTown. It was a pretty nice drive. A slight wind, but it was bright and sunny out. And it was chilly out. I think around 10-12° outside. But it was warm in the truck. We got some yummy food at the grocery store, including a nice frozen turkey breast. I’ll make a huge Thanksgiving feast for The Beautiful One on Wednesday.

Back to work for a couple of days this afternoon. I work today, and tomorrow – getting Wednesday off. Then I’m on duty until Sunday evening. It’ll be a long week, but, it’s gonna be a good week. Let’s talk about it.

Oh, I got a new pair of gloves yesterday. A little expensive for my tastes, but it’s better than wearing a pair of gloves, that three fingers are covered in electrical tape. I’ll be trying them out this afternoon. Is it sad that I’m excited to try them out?

Time to refill the coffee cup. Happy Monday everyone!
