The alarm scared me this morning when it went off. It roused me from a deep sleep. I only got up once in the night, around 2:30 this morning. I had to get up and pee, after I learned that I can make it into the kitchen without opening my eyes. I got some water, said hi to Pippin, who was sleeping on the couch. I made it back and climbed into bed, and quickly fell back asleep.

Yesterday was a nice lazy day. Other than chores, we really didn’t do anything at all. Just watched tv, and relaxed. After all that, we took off for Shady Acres for the afternoon. When my dad woke up Crystal asked him to take a look at her fire poi.m to see if he can fix the screw problem. It looks like he fixed it to what Crystal was hoping for. Maybe this evening, we’ll test them.

I don’t think that we have anything planned for today. I’ll have to make the trip up to the post office, as there should be a package for us up there with many many treasures in the box. Other than that, I don’t think that there is any place that we need to be today. Which is just right for us. I’ll take lazy summer days. Those days are pretty much numbered now.

I just remembered what day it was, and transferred the rent over to the land lord. Woot! The Flat is ours for another month! Chaucer just climbed up on the couch between us. With the weather being cooler, he’s such a snuggle monkey. Ok it’s time for a coffee refill. Happy Monday y’all 🤠

Well it’s a big change from yesterday. It’s bright and sunny out there, and we’re expecting a nice comfortable high of 75° out there today. That’s a nice thing for sure. We don’t have too many warm days left in the calendar. So we have to take advantage of all the warmth that we can!

Good morning party people. It’s Saturday, and all that stands between me and the start of the weekend, is a short shift at the shop this morning. It shouldn’t be too bad. Hopefully, we’ll have some people come in today. I had a handful come through yesterday.

Date night was really good. The diner didn’t seem to busy, so I went over to the kitchen and asked if I could order breakfast. The cook said no problem. You see, they stop serving breakfast at 4. We get there around 5. So last time the big boss lady was in I was joking around about that, and she said that if they weren’t busy, and it was up to the cook, I could order breakfast.

Breakfast was good.

After we got back to the Flat, I played DJ using YouTube, and for the next couple of hours, I played music videos. I know! I had full control of the music! That doesn’t happen too often. But I did something right – Crystal was actually adding music that I played to her various playlists.

Then suddenly it was time for bed. Of course, I crashed totally until the alarm went off. I’d like to think Crystal slept in as well, but if she did, I don’t want to jinx it! So right now she’s an enigma. She either did or didn’t sleep in. The possibilities are endless!

So yeah in a few hours, I go in for a few hours. Then the weekend is mine! But first – coffee!

Good morning! I awoke to a surprise. Crystal fixed my alarm clock to play music rather than white noise. I thought about fixing it last night, and I figured I’d do it later. Then I completely forgot to do it, as usual.

It’s a bright and sunny day out in the wild. It’s supposed to be the hottest of the week, and then the temps drop slightly for the next couple of days. As long as it stays sunny, the temps don’t really bother me. Just leave the humidity at home!

BossLady has a consult coming to the store today, NewNewGirl and I were teasing her that we have to make an effort to look good today. I remembered this after getting dressed this morning, so I’ll quickly change in a few. I told her not to worry, I’d shave my legs and all that.

I slept like the dead. I don’t remember waking up in the night, so that’s a bonus. Crystal was up a little bit before me, so the coffee was ready and waiting when I stumbled out of the bedroom.

So yeah, time to refill the coffee cup. Happy Thursday!
