Talking about cars and dreaming about women never had a plan just a living for the minute

THE WEEKEND IS HERE

Podrick started early this morning. So I got up and removed him from the bedroom, closing the door behind him. But don’t worry, dear readers, he made his own fun out in the living room. I have a large Medieval Times mug that has bottle caps in it. I heard a thump in the morning sometime. I prayed to myself that it wasn’t the TV, ( how could it? It was just a small thump in the grand scheme of things) so I rolled over and went back to sleep.

But every one of us is awake. Podrick is finally eating his breakfast. Pippin has already had hers. She’s either in the bedroom, or enjoying the sun on the table at the back door. They’re slowly starting to accept that the other one isn’t going anywhere, and they should probably start to get along. Sometimes it works, and sometimes they just fight.

It’s the towns festival today. The parade should be rolling by the Flat around 10:30 this morning. We were planning on going, but for both of us to go, it would cost $50 to get in, then we’d have to pay for food, and drinks at the party tonight. We can just save the money and have nachos tonight with some alcohol, and watch Summer Slam. So in a couple of hours, I’ll head up to the abattoir, and see if possibly they have ground moose, because I think that would make really yummy taco meat for the nachos.

Coffee first.

The cats are suspiciously quiet.

Happy Saturday everyone!

I learned a thing or two from Charlie, don’t you know? You better stay away from Copperhead Road

It’s my Friyay! Long weekend here we come. I’m all for a holiday on Monday. Shout out to whomever put the civic in civic holiday! Podrick was almost a perfect gentleman. He only started to do Podrick Things the last couple moments before I finally mumbled I’m awake, and lurching to my side to try and get myself vertical.

With it being a long weekend here, the town does its Heritage Day on Saturday. In order to get on to the grounds, it’s $50 for both of us. That also gets us into the cabaret in the evening. But all the events (other than the pre-teen rodeo) is geared toward kids. Last year and the year before you didn’t have to pay as much if you didn’t want to go to the cabaret, but I guess this year they just decided to put it in with the regular price.

So this weekend, it’ll be a sloth weekend. We’ll putter around the house, and I’ll annoy Crystal with all the wrestling this weekend. It’s a 2 day Summer Slam, there’s gonna be Smackdown from tonight, and on Monday, there’s Raw. still be a weekend of big sweaty men slapping meat.

Just got to complete the next level, and that means closing the store this evening. shouldn’t be too bad, I’ve done it twice previously this week. It’ll be just me and GenAlpha against the hoards of locals, and some tourists trying to wear down our defences.

So I’ll need coffee to mentally prepare myself, and a good base of food to strengthen myself for the battle that will be known as the Fight for Friday Night.

Happy August.

I’m untouchable, but I’m forcin’ you to feel me, word life, this is bas—, basic thugo— thugo—, thugonomics

Good morning everyone. It’s a bright and sunny day out there. The birds are singing, and the kittens aren’t at each other’s throats this morning. But I’m sure I hear some growling. Podrick was being Podrick very early this morning, and Crystal had to lock him out of the bedroom very early this morning.

Then, I swear, he was throwing himself at the door. Crystal said he was playing with the rug, but maybe, just maybe, it was Pippin finally taking charge, and throwing him against the wall. The door was closed, so we’ll never know if it was Pippin beating him up.

It’s quiet now.

Work wasn’t too bad last night. I’m sure it’ll be busier tonight, and I’m already telling myself that it’ll be busier tonight. No two nights are the same. It wasn’t slow last night, but it’s usually busier than we had. The weekend is slowly getting closer. Like I believe I said yesterday, Monday is a civic holiday, so I’ll have a three day weekend.

But first coffee.

Lucky as a seven, livin’ in heaven, with my Dixieland Delight

I slept like the dead last night, and while it was a little chilly this morning, I aggressively tried to snuggle Crystal, to stay warm. Podrick was just starting to get into play mode. I had pulled him under the covers and gave him some snuggles, before he powered his way out from under the blankets.

Back to work this afternoon. Three shifts, and then I’m on a long weekend. Woohoo! I can definitely make it. But, unless the schedule has changed over the last couple of days, which I’m sure it hasn’t, I’ll be working with GenAlpha for the next three days. It shouldn’t be too bad. Workin’ for the weekend!

We didn’t do a whole lot of anything yesterday. Crystal’s package came in, so I went to get that, and then I delivered the mail to my parents. Once back at the Flat, I opened the package, and grabbed the USB-C cable and with crossed fingers, I plugged it into the Switch. ITS WORKED! Crystal can once again play in docked mode. W00t!

I got little joysticks that sit on my phones screen to make it a little easier to move around while I’m playing Persona 5X. It actually helps out a lot. It makes it a lot easier to actually interact and do things in game. I played for a little while, while Crystal played Neir Automata.

I made poutine for dinner, and got it on the table in time to watch NXT. It’s a lot different than Raw or Smackdown. I don’t know a lot of the wrestlers, or their storylines, so it is a little more boring. But it’s still entertaining. After NXT, I put on the first episode of new WWE series – Unreal. The behind the scenes show. It was actually pretty freaking awesome. I have three more episodes left. Hopefully, they keep making episodes.

Well, fuck this city, I’m movin’ to Saskatchewan

Good morning everyone. Crystal and the kittens let me sleep in. I didn’t even hear Crystal picking the cats out of the bedroom. My face is stuffed full of snot this morning. I can feel it pressing against my eyes. Like I said to Crystal, thank you for letting me sleep in. I guess Podrick was playing with something under the bed, and whatever it was, it was really annoying Crystal.

Yesterday was a really nice day off. I did the laundry, and the rest of the chores. During the chores, I made us some brunch, which was also really tasty. We didn’t do too much yesterday. I kinda puttered around. I repotted the Christmas cactus, but other than that, I really didn’t do too much.

I played a couple of hands of Balatro, but didn’t really get any good runs in. The cards weren’t there. The jokers definitely were not there. So I switched to lower stakes. It didn’t matter, I think I only had one run that got to round 15. Every other game didn’t make it to round 5. So yeah I knew when it was time to put it down.

We had beans and wieners for dinner while watching Monday Night Raw. It was a bit of a mess. They did another tribute for Hulk Hogan, and then just jumped into the most random matches I’ve ever seen. Don’t get me wrong, they were good matches. Just random. After Raw, I put on some History channel shows, because I still like learning things. After that it was starting to get late, and my eyes, and nose had caught something in the air, and I had having a bit of an allergy attack. So that’s when we decided to go to bed.

And now it’s a new day. It’s gray, and the kittens are mostly active. Podrick is trying to get on the upper shelf that holds all the plants. Pippin is probably at the back door, keeping to herself. She’s starting to get tired of his shit (we hope). She is starting to stand her ground. Yay!
