Just an invitation would have been just fine

Woke up very briefly at 5:48 – made sure my alarm was set correctly, and then it was just a light sleep, with weird dreams that faded so quickly when I woke up.

Nevertheless, I’m up, and I’m patiently waiting for the coffee to finish brewing. It’s a really old pot, if I wanted a cup now, I’d have to put my cup under the pot because doesn’t stop spitting out coffee. There’s no pause switch.

It’s cold here again. It’s like -30 out there with the wind chill. At this point, I really wish it was late spring. I’m really tired of the snow and cold.

I really dislike being cold. And I’m rarely cold. Until I got here.

I hope y’all enjoy your Thursday. Hopefully it’ll get warmer here soon. I’d rather just smoke some weed and curl up and binge something on Netflix.

You’re saying i’m fragile… I try not to be

I’m sore this morning. They say that it’s a good sore. I don’t think I agree. It’s not a nice sore at all. It hurts to hold a coffee cup.

And I’d rather not talk about work yesterday. I’m trying to not dwell. Today is a new day. Today is a good day, to have a good day.

That last one came from a bathroom in a ghetto pharmacy. Good words to have every day. Whom ever wrote that, printed that, and hung it up is doing Cat Jesus’ good work.

It’s hump day, and that means only 4 more days of work. We got this. We can do it. And all the other inspirations you can think of.

Happy Wednesday y’all 🙂

You’re the one who makes me come runnin’ – You’re the sun who makes me shine

Good morning everyone. It’s Tuesday and I could’ve slept in some more. Not a tossy turny sleep, I think I was having weird dreams. You know that feeling when you wake up, and you’re all like that was freakin weird….

That’s what I woke up like. Then my eyes really didn’t want to focus. They still really don’t. But they will.

It was a good day yesterday. It didn’t feel like a long day until I got back to the house, and began to relax. I’m sure that I was asleep before my head hit the pillow.

I wish I had another day to just relax for one more day. I’ll always wish for one more day.

The coffee is ready. Hap hap happy Tuesday. I hope you have a really good day today.

Insisting that the world keep turning our way

Good morning, happy Monday everyone. We survived another weekend. Now, I just have to survive about four hour trapped in a car with my mom and gramma.

Should be interesting. we’re going to MostlyBiggerTown. And I have a list. It’s just 2 hours to get there, and two hours to get back to the house.

Coffee first though.

Happy Monday everyone. I have to wake up now. I love you very much 😍

Book club – The Arctic Fury

Well hello, book nerds! How’re y’all doing this fine, and cold day? I’m doing pretty good, just got back from trying to get gas from the only gas station within 30 minutes. They were closed for inventory. So, no gas. I’ll have to get it tomorrow.

Anyways, we’re not here to talk about the gas situation here in TinyTown, we’re here to talk about books! Specifically, The Arctic Fury. I finished it last night. I still don’t know how I feel about the ending. It felt really rushed. I mean there was only 2 ways for it to end. Alive or dead. I don’t know which would’ve been better for the book.

The premise is great – a group of women being sent to the Arctic to find Lady Franklins husband, and his lost expedition. The adventure that follows, will change the lives of these women forever.

Aside from the lacklustre ending, the parts that I really liked was the flashbacks from their trip into the Arctic. The courtroom “scenes” were ok. I don’t know if the lawyer was a public defender or whatever the 1850s version of that, but it was very tropey of the whole lawyer not doing anything.

I think it was a flawed book with a really good premise. I hesitate to read anything else from the author. But in the future, I’ll try and keep an open mind. So yeah, just rereading this, I guess this counts as a book review as well!

Since it’s now February, it’s time for another book for this months Book Club. After wading through the two comments that I got, I’ve decided on…

Wait for it…

Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M. Danforth.

I can’t wait to crack open this book and get sucked in! Until next time, book nerds!!
