Feel the magic, there’s something that drives me wild

Good morning! Happy Tuesday! The sun is slowly rising here and it’s, well, let’s just say it’s brisk out there this fine morning. It should warm up a little bit, but not too much.

Coffee is brewing, and Pippin just climbed up on my lap. I woke up to her snuggling me under the blankets. We were both toasty when the alarm went off.

I didn’t do a whole bunch of anything yesterday. It was nice, but without any type of human contact, I was starting to feel a little lonely by the end of the evening.

Dinner was ok last night. I had originally wanted chicken breast chunks, but after the chicken had thawed, I opened the bag – and the chicken smelt a little off. It smelled almost sticky. So I opted to make some popcorn chicken instead.

But it’s a new day, and a new week. Let’s get some coffee inside my body, and let’s greet the day. Happy Tuesday!

I got a jones for your affection like a monkey on my back

Good morning. It’s been a somber morning here as I watched the procession travel up the royal mile from Holyroodhouse to St. Giles Cathedral. I’m still entranced but the military precision that they have. I switched from NBC News Now to Euro News, because they felt the need to let Savannah Guthrie talk and talk and talk instead of just letting the feed speak for itself. I forgot that NBC needs to fill all the dead air with mindless chatter.

But it’s a new day here. Mostly sunny, and a pretty comfortable temperature. I don’t have anything planned for the day, but I do have my meals planned for the day, and that’s a good thing.

So I hope everyone has a great Monday. I’m going to do my best to have the best Monday I can!

House chores, HGTV, and giving up

It’s been a busy morning so far here at The Flat! Laundry has been started, and is currently waiting to be put into the dryer. I spent a few moments while Pippin was sleeping in the living room, to move some furniture around in the bedroom. Now the door can close – which will be good to quarantine a cat for a day or two.

Then, I moved some stuff around on the media center. I was tired of squirting Pippin every night. So I opened it up a little, so the tiny monster can just go back there.

And in solidarity with Crystal, I put on some free HGTV Canada shows. Good times!

I recommend walkin’ around naked in your living room

Good morning motherfuckers! Welcome to Sunday! According to the news, it’s a somber day this morning. The news switched over from their typical feel-good Sunday scheduling, and now it’s the 9/11 commemoration ceremonies. Pres. Biden is making a speech from the Pentagon.

Me? I’m dealing with some allergies, and possibly mixed in with the allergies, maybe just a small head cold as well. Just working up the energy to start chore day. Along with chores, I have to move a couple pieces of furniture in the bedroom around. Pippin has finally figured out how to get behind the door, and like to play there around 11:30/midnight. That’s not conducive to a nice sleep for me. So I’ll do my best to fix it.

It’s a brisk, but sunny morning here. It should be warming up to a high of about 79° today. That definitely beats the high of 65 or so yesterday. But, not a cloud in the sky here so far.

But, of course, before all that can happen – I needs me some more coffee.

Take a chance, roll the dice

On Tuesday, September the 6th, I finished Campaign 2 of Critical Role – The Mighty Nein. To be honest, I didn’t think that I would finish it. I usually start lots of shows, but I rarely finish any of them. Especially new shows I’ve never seen before. I’ll always go back to shows that I’ve seen before. This one was different. This was a journey. There were MANY times that I burst into tears. There were MANY times that there was spontaneous laughter as well.

A bunch of nerdy ass voice actors who sit around and play Dungeons & Dragons. That doesn’t even begin to begin to describe the characters they play. They are living and breathing characters.

It made me laugh out loud, cry like a baby at times, all the emotions in between.

500 hours, 56 minutes, and approximately 24 seconds start to finish. I finished the campaign in about 9 months. I think that’s about the longest I’ve stuck with a single “tv show”.

Thanks for the great ride, Critical Role.

Is it Thursday yet?
