Makin’ their way the only way they know how that’s just a little bit more than the law will allow

Heyy, motherfuckers. I decided early this morning, that I’d post when I got home from work. I just wasn’t feeling posting this morning. So y’all get to read my post in the day light, and not the ass crack of dawn.

So, welcome back my friends to the show that never ends.

Within minutes of getting home, I’ve paid my bills for the month, and I have a kitten in my lap, and one nestled in beside me. Crystal is wedged into her side of the couch on the other side of Chaucer, who’s purring. The cat, not Crystal.

Work was ok, mostly slow. We got done everything we needed to this morning, and we then just kinda sat around until swing shift came in. Then we all sat around, but we took turns going outside, and ringing the register. We were waiting for the grocery delivery to arrive, which it did about 25 minutes before the shift was over. I stayed an extra ten minutes to help finish the order up, and then came home.

Good times.

Good morning my friends. It’s dark, and cold, so that must mean that it’s Tuesday. Yeppers, back up early again, that also means that I have an early shift. Actually, I have early shifts all week. It’s ok, downside: I have to be up wicked early. Upside: I have the afternoon off.

So we went to bed last night, and did what people do when they go to sleep. At midnight, I’m awake. I open my eyes to look at the clock, thinking it’s a couple of minutes before the alarm is supposed to go off. To my surprise, it’s midnight. My heart smiled, knowing I still had 4.5 hours to sleep. I rolled over, and passed out again.

Yesterday was a nice and lazy day. We didn’t do anything. Actually we watched weather related YouTube shows, and tried to nap. I think Crystal got to nap, but it just wasn’t in the cards for me. That’s ok.

For dinner I cooked Poutine. Of course it was good. We were both stuffed. That was the day. Now it’s back to work. It’s alright, I don’t mind the work. Happy Tuesday everyone. I hope y’all have a great day.

They’ll never know you’re just a bagel

Good morning, my friends. It’s Monday morning, and it snowed just a little last night. I shovelled off the lanai this morning. it’s also a little brisk out there. It’s our week for a bit of a cold snap. It’s currently 0°, but it’s -11° with the wind. Oh, and that’s in freedom units. For °C, it’s -18°C, -24°C with the wind. Thankfully, there’s no plans to actually leave the house today.

I think possibly, we’ll do the same thing as yesterday – watch some TV, and then take a nap. There will probably be a nap, there’s something that I wanna do tonight before going to sleep to get up for work. I wanted to do it last night, but we were both wicked tired. I was falling asleep a little as we were watching some TikTok’s. So yeah we’ll have adventures tonight.

Like I said, we didn’t do a whole lot of anything yesterday. We did the weekly chores, and then turned on some nature shows, and fell asleep with two kittens all curled up on top of us. I had hoped that I’d be able to nap a little longer than I did, but maybe today we’ll nap a little longer.

We got home from Shady Acres, and I was looking for something to watch. I stumbled upon Chicago. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen that, so we both snuggled in to watch it. It’s a good entertaining story.

So it’ll just be a great relaxing day here. Brunch, and naps are on deck for the both of us. I mean the cats are always down for a good nap, they’ll be happy when we snuggle in. Hell, they’re already snuggled in here.

They danced through the day and into the night through the snow that swept through the hall

The morning came very very early this morning. At one point I thought I heard Chaucer getting sick. I yelled out, and immediately fell back to sleep. I’m a terrible kitty dad. I think I got up in the night to go to the bathroom, but I’m not too sure. Maybe. Maybe not.

It’s a mystery.

But we’re all up now. Chaucer is on Crystal’s blanket, which he’s kind of taken over. Pippin just jumped up and is totally comfortable on my lap. It’s been colder her, and she’s always trying to jump and snuggle in my lap.

It’s not that I had a terrible sleep, it just was broken up m, by waking up, and all that jazz. I was a little tossy turny. I don’t think I was too warm, just up pretty early, and just dozed mostly. I think I’m gonna try and possibly nap this afternoon. I’m of a certain age now. I guess we nap now.

But first, coffee.

Everybody knows that smokin’ ain’t allowed in school

Here we are again. It’s dark, and the coffee has been brewed. Welcome to another day in the life living in TinyTown. We’re both awake, and it’s dark out. I got up sometime in the night to go to the bathroom. I refused to look at the clock, telling myself that if I don’t open my eyes, I’m still technically asleep. I got up and made my way to do my business, and made it back into bed.

The next thing I know, the alarm is going off. I had Steelers Wheel stuck in my head. You see, Crystal was telling me little known trivia about well known movies before I went to work yesterday. I guess it stuck, because I had Reservoir Dogs stuck in my head. Yep, Michael Madsen dancing in the warehouse. Good times.

Work wasn’t too bad yesterday. We were pretty steady until about 7:30-8. That’s perfect because around 8 is when the closing stuff starts to get done. We managed to get everything done and 100%, then we left. It was a good shift, time passed pretty quickly.

I brought home a hot chocolate, and surfed Reddit while Crystal kicked some ass playing Hades. She’s really good at that game. I think I’ve seen her beat it once or twice, so at this point she makes it look pretty easy. After she stopped playing, we looked at some TikTok’s for a few, then climbed into bed.

Here we are now.

It’s gonna be a lazy weekend. The scheduling gods saw fit that I should have the weekend off, I don’t go back into work until Tuesday. That’s nice. So we’ll be heading out for date night this evening. And I’ll pop over to the little grocery store to grab some hash browns and bacon for brunch on Monday. Other than that, it’ll be a quiet weekend.
