Out in the playground in the dark side of town

Good morning everyone. With Podrick locked out of the bedroom, and another sleepy time experience for The Beautiful One, we were knocked out until 8:47. That’s when I rolled over and exclaimed “what year is it?” that’s when I knew it was time to get up. The slumber was long, and the limbs were heavy when I heaved myself out of the bed.

We’re up. Coffee is flowing, and the kitties have been fed. I’ve opened the window on the back door, because it’s beautiful out there right now. The kitties are ignoring the laser that just started up. pippin is getting braver and braver. She’s cucks Podrick. He’ll just sit there and watch her eat his food. It’s hilarious to see.

Work wasn’t too bad yesterday. Considering it’s an open to close shift. I managed to have the store ready to open before Bing Bing knocked on the door. We opened at the opening time, and that started our day. It’s was steady, but not overwhelming. It was actually a pretty not too bad day. I only had to practice asking Bing Bing not to whistle – I told him that I could hear his single note across the store over the AC, and behind a closed door. To his credit, he did stop.

Sanity restored.

We’ll be heading to SlightlyBiggerTown for supplies. I just didn’t feel like doing it after work on Saturday. So we’ll go out in a little while. Once we get back, I’ll start the laundry. It’ll be a good day. Plus RAW is on tonight. So let’s get some!

Pants with stripes and cutaway coat, perfect fits – Puttin’ on the Ritz

Good morning my friends! Podrick tried to get me up early, but no, not today. I pushed him out of the room and closed the door. It took a minute or so to fall back asleep, because I could really breathe. I’m very stuffed up this morning. But I did, and it was glorious. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to “sleep in”.

Coffee has been brewed, and the kittens have been fed. Pippin didn’t have a lot to eat, but I’m sure she’ll begs Crystal throughout the day to have a snack.

Yesterday wasn’t too bad at all. Just wicked slow in the morning. The closer we got to the end of the shift, the people started to come in. Finally something to do.

Podrick is still a crazy kitten. But he doesn’t fly around the house for hours. Heels slowly evolving into morning zoomies, afternoon, and evening zoomies. He still chases Pippin around, but not as much. Yesterday evening, they actually co-existed in the same room. On the same couch. Pippin on my lap, and Podrick over my shoulder.

But he’s still crazy!

You could have a bumper car, bumping this amusement never ends

Here I am. Home from work, where a crop duster was buzzing the store. Loud as hell when they’re only about 100 feet off the ground. Scared an old lady at the ATM.

When I got up it was dark. Dark and cold. I was told that today was going to be sunny and 70°. I was lied to. Now it’s tomorrow, that’s supposed to be like 70. stop taunting me with what’s left of nice temperatures. This summer has been pure crap weather-wise. I’ve worn a hoodie more than I haven’t this summer. Hopefully native-american summer will come full force to repel the fall.

Winter is coming.

I have my lunch in the oven, and a frozen pizza for dinner in the freezer. I’m going to try not to fall asleep on the couch, but if it comes, I’ll try not to say no.

Full day of work tomorrow. With Bing Bing. Yay.

I’m just a girl, what’s my destiny?

We’re awake. Podrick is back to being Podrick. We fell asleep swiftly last night, and orange baby wasn’t doing his usual run of death. I’m pretty sure he just curled up with us and fell asleep around the same time as we did.

I now know what parents feel like when they finally get a day away from their baby. I cleaned the kitchen – keeping the doors unlocked. I cleaned the kitchen table, and puttered around. Pippin really enjoyed a Podrick-free day by hunkering down on my lap for as long as she possibly could. If I was sitting down in the couch, she was on my legs. It’s been months since she’s laid in my legs. Hopefully, she’ll snuggle like that again. If Podrick doesn’t act like Podrick when she’s around.

Back to work this afternoon. It’s a triple block this weekend. Open tomorrow, then go grocery shopping – then all day on Sunday. It’ll be a grind. A grind that I’m not looking forward to, especially Sunday. I’m working with an ADHD addled 15 year old. It’s gonna be a long day. But I’m not looking that far ahead. It’s gonna be a pretty good day. I can feel it.

Happy Friyay everyone! It’s your weekend!

I’ve traveled the world and the seven seas

No tags on the post today because, JetPack sucks most times. So fuck the tags this morning. That’s just how I roll.

Good rainy morning, my friends. Podrick was shut out of the bedroom, probably around 5 or 6 this morning. And after a couple of pulls on the door, it was silent. I slept. Crystal let me sleep until 8. Ahhhh. Then we got up, and dressed, and I got a half cup of coffee. I pulled out the cat carrier, and we were off with Podrick to the vet. Today is the day. He was so good. No crying in the way there, just taking everything in. We’ll pick him up around 3 this afternoon.

Work wasn’t too bad last night. A little slower, but that was good. We had two trucks to put away. But thankfully, they weren’t the biggest of trucks, so in a matter of hours, we got them done. Then we just made sure the store didn’t burn down. I think we did a pretty good job.

The store didn’t burn down.
